Today is the day, are you joining us?
Hello everyone! 👋 We are all set for Don’t Walk Your Dog Day today! 🐕 🚶 To give you some inspiration, here are some things you could do instead of walking: ⭐️ set up a Freework activity around your home, or secure garden ⭐️ surprise your dog with a treat filled boredom buster such as a kong, lickmat or snuffle mat ⭐️ start some consent-based training exercises using positive reinforcement ⭐️ if your dog enjoys it, spend some bonding time grooming your dog or even, simply petting them ⭐️ chill out and watch a dog-themed movie together on the couch ⭐️ if your dog doesn’t mind the car, drive to a nearby secure dog run where they can spend some time off-lead with no distractions or other dogs to worry about Perhaps you can think of more? Today it would be AMAZING if you all post what you’re getting up to with your dog. Later this evening, I will check in with you all and hopefully get to hear what you have gotten up to! Have fun today everyone, and remember, you’re not a failure for having a dog who struggles with walking in public places, and there are still ways to offer your dog opportunities to have fun, decompress and stimulate their busy minds while you work on those issues 🩷 See you tonight!

Good morning everyone ☀️ We have officially finished up with our very first challenge and I hope you all managed to at least try some of the tasks throughout the week 💪 There were some exercises that I found surprisingly challenging, and some that I found really effective - I particularly enjoyed the mindfulness tasks because I’ve been feeling incredibly stressed lately. Having the chance to sit down with my thoughts and feelings before writing a few thoughts down, has been great for helping to finally ‘put to bed’ some personal issues. What about you? Of course, the HGA is a training provider and so it just wouldn’t be us if we didn’t celebrate our commitment with a nice certificate. You can download and print it here. Just a reminder that there’s always time to commit to our own self care, and it’s ok to show ourselves some compassion as well ❤️‍🔥 This challenge will remain available for you all to refer back to anytime - you can absolutely integrate exercises that you resonate with, into your daily practice (in fact, I strongly encourage it). If you have any ideas for our next challenge, let me know! I’m thinking of doing a dog-themed one next - perhaps something that will help to enhance our bond with them more💫

The neck and shoulder were helpful for me
Self Love Challenge - Day 3
It’s Mondayyyy! ☀️ What is usually the worst day of the week, is today, going to be the first of many more POSITIVE Monday’s because we are (hopefully) going to check-in regularly on how we are feeling. Today is all about our shoulders and neck! Have you heard of the age-long saying: “you’ve got the weight of the world on your shoulders”? It derives from Greek Mythology, when Atlas was punished by Zeus for going against the Gods. He was made to bear the weight of the celestial sphere on his shoulders for eternity 🌌 This story has became a popular metaphor in Western society to describe the emotional and physical burden of stress! And it makes sense, doesn’t it? How many of you feel tension at your shoulders and neck? I know I do! If you follow the exercises from today and use them regularly, you hopefully will have less tension in those areas and more flexibility. At the end of today, let us all know in the comments how you have got on! 👇

Happy Valentine’s Day - DAY 1 Challenge! 🩷
Good morning all of you! 🩷🩷 I am SO ready to begin ‘day one’ of our very first challenge - The Self Love Challenge, no less! I had my tarot cards read last night for the first time during a “Galentine’s” themed event and the key message that came from it was: “You don’t need anyone but yourself to create a life of abundance” It had me really stop and reflect on how I’ve lived my life up until this point - always thinking of others (what would “so and so” think, what if this or that happens, and on and on it has went, for YEARS). Fear drives so many of our actions, doesn’t it? We might do something courageous from time to time - like starting our own business - but for many of us, our actions after that are also, led by fear. Fear of being wrong. Fear of being ridiculed. Fear of not being good enough, or clever enough, or experienced enough. Well, this morning I woke up and I’ve felt like something has shifted. Two Friday’s ago, my dad collapsed and rather than waiting “FOUR hours for an ambulance”, I had to drive him to the hospital - that drive was one of the most scary things I’ve ever had to (and hopefully, will ever have to) do - in those moments, I suddenly understood the difference between: 👉🏻 the fear we manifest in our minds that, with some perspective, isn’t really scary at all 👉🏻 genuine, warranted fear that this is truly a life or death matter Perspective is everything, and life - life is ABSOLUTELY too short. Yes all fear is valid - I teach that in my course, as you’ll know - but the fear that we manifest (the one that is driven by a deep-rooted feeling we aren’t good enough, or important enough to take seriously) can, and should, be used to fuel courage. Courage into stepping more into our vulnerability, opening our hearts to uncomfortable feelings with an understanding that it’s really OK to get things wrong sometimes, and also to start believing that an investment of time into our own health and happiness is not selfish, it’s essential 🙏
