🇧🇷 36 years at IBM. Now I'm the student again — and I love it.
My name is Maria Augusta Torres, joining from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I spent over three decades at IBM navigating every wave of technology transformation. Then I made a decision: stop being part of someone else's story and start writing my own. Today I run MAIncluir, a consulting firm where I apply Generative AI to HR, legal, productivity, and neurodiversity & inclusion. I mentor tech teams and professionals navigating career transitions in the AI era. This community feels like a natural next step — because I've already experienced the power of this ecosystem in person. I was at Tony Robbins' event in São Paulo, Brazil 🇧🇷 — an experience that genuinely shifted how I think about growth, mindset, and what's possible. That event was opened by José Roberto Marques - IBC , with whom I also completed a coaching certification. The combination of mindset and method has shaped everything I do today. What I've learned after all these years? The biggest barrier to AI adoption isn't the technology. It's the human being behind it. Fear. Resistance. Invisible potential waiting to be unlocked. That's why I'm here — to benchmark with the best, and bring real value back to my clients and community in Latin America. @Tony Robbins and Dean Graziosi — grateful to be part of this movement. 🙏 If you work at the intersection of AI and people — let's connect. 👇 What's the most human challenge you've faced when implementing AI in your work?

It’s Not Failure You’ll Regret
Five years from now, you won’t be sitting there wishing you played it safer. You’ll be thinking about the moments you knew you were capable of more… and stayed where it was comfortable. That’s the part no one talks about. Regret doesn’t come from trying and failing. It comes from knowing… and not moving. I’ve seen it over and over again. People don’t lack talent. They don’t lack opportunity. They hesitate. They overthink. They wait for clarity instead of creating it. And time doesn’t wait. If something’s been pulling at you lately… an idea, a move, a next step you keep putting off… This is your reminder. You don’t need everything figured out. You just need to take the next step. Because the version of you five years from now? They’re either going to thank you… or question why you waited. Which one do you want it to be? And let me ask you this…What’s the thing you know you’re capable of… but haven’t acted on yet?

This hit deep. 🙏 I spent 36 years at IBM. Stable. Respected. Safe. And somewhere along the way, I started feeling that pull — the quiet voice saying "you're capable of more than this." I ignored it for a while. Comfort is convincing. Then I made the move. Left the safety net. Built MAIncluir from scratch. Started applying AI in ways that actually change people's lives — in HR, legal, neurodiversity, career development. Was it scary? Absolutely. Do I regret it? Not for a single day. The thing I wish I had acted on sooner? Trusting that decades of experience plus a willingness to evolve is its own superpower. For anyone here still sitting with that pull — it doesn't go away. It just gets louder. Take the step.🚀

36 yrs at IBM → now founder of MAIncluir. AI for HR, legal & neurodiversity. The barrier isn't tech — it's people.
