I am about to finish the illustrations on my first book and plan on selling on Amazon KDP. I plan on buying my own ISBN, is that the preferred move? I am also considering setting up an LLC to operate and sell under. Are other folks doing that or just selling under their own name? Thinking the LLC would be a good option, as I hope to write more books in my series. Let me know what you are doing. Thanks!

I also bought my ISBNs and have an LLC.
Allauthor?
Do any of you use allauthor, and if so what are the benefits? Is it simply a platform to promote your books? Thanks.
Writers
✍️ Writers, I’m curious what part of writing do you love the most… and what part do you secretly dread? For me, I love the creative rush of starting a new story but editing? That’s where I start bargaining with the universe. 😅 How about you?

Hi. I love the initial phase of putting my initial ideas and thoughts down. I absolutely dread the the MANY phases of editing. I end up doubting myself and messages, especially later in the process.

Thank you Harleigh for your recommendation to do a Freebooksy campaign on my first children's book, Noah and the Shark. Thanksgiving weekend it reached number One in Children's Literature Amazon Kindle downloads! I will be doing the same promotion for my newest children's book, What Would Noah Do? Great advice! https://www.amazon.com/s?k=noah+and+the+shark&crid=A5KLQB7Z4K7L&sprefix=noah+and+the+shark%2Caps%2C128&ref=nb_sb_ss_fb_1_18_p13n-expert-pd-ops-ranker
IngramSpark and Amazon KDP
So should I be doing IngramSpark and Amazon KDP? If so what is the advantage? Are there other publishing routes I should use?

Hi Seth. I recently had interesting learnings about IngramSpark. I just put my books on IngramSpark as recommended by my agent and my sales have definitely increased and I am getting more book signing requests. It turns out many bookstores, even Indie but especially the larger chains (Barnes and Noble, Books-A-Million etc.) use Ingram as their distributor. I earn less in royalties but I have more visibility and increased sales volume. They also push to Amazon. Other authors are successful not using IngramSpark etc, but it is working for me and my situation. I hope this helps.
