Step 2: Regulation
Creating internal stability Noticing shows us what is happening. Regulation is what allows us to stay present with what we notice without being pulled into reaction, certainty, or shutdown. This isn't about calming yourself down or "being peaceful". It's about creating enough internal stability that your nervous system doesn't have to grasp for answers just to feel safe. When regulation is present, the body isn't braced and the mind isn't racing to resolve discomfort. You don't need to rush to conclusions, adopt beliefs, or defend positions. Regulation gives you room - room to pause, to breath, and to let clarity emerge instead of forcing it. In this space, regulation isn't something you perform or achieve. It's something you practice gently and repeatedly. Small moments of settling matter more than big breakthroughs. This step is about learning to return to yourself - again and again - so that discernment has a stable place to land. You might explore these quietly over time: 1. What helps my body feel even slightly more settled when I notice tension or urgency? 2. When I pause instead of reacting - what changes - even subtlety - inside of me? 3. What does "enough safety" feel like in my body right now? NO FIXING. NO FORCING. Just noticing what helps you stay regulated and present.

@Ms. J D that's awesome 👌 Being a new skool .. I am currently establishing an arc.. different people will be at different places when they come across the feed .. so I felt it was important to establish a complete arc .. beginning to end ... coming up next ... pattern recognition- meaning making without myth building- discernment vs overload - coherence and aligning thoughts- personal sovereignty- relational regulation - and so much more .. lots to cover ... we're new .. giving it some time to resonate 🧡😘

@Ms. J D I resemble that remark 🤣 yes .. simple and based in absolute truth. I call my own brain out on it's BS often. I refuse to let me lie to me . ☺️
Regulation Embodied
Regulation isn't something you can figure out in your head. It's something the body learns through experience. You can understand regulation conceptually and still feel rushed, braced, or reactive because the body hasn't caught up yet. That's normal. Embodied regulation is about recognizing what actually helps your nervous system settle. Not what you think "should" help. It might be slower breathing, movement, stepping outside, silence, warmth, or simply stopping for a moment. These aren't fixes; they're signals of safety that allow the body to soften and the mind to stop searching for certainty. This step isn't about doing regulation "right". It's about noticing what brings you back to presence without force. Over time, these small embodied moments create stability. From that stability, discernment becomes possible - not as effort, but as natural outcome. Today you might explore : 1. What physical cues tell me I'm becoming dysregulated? 2. What simple actions help my body settle, even slightly? 3. How does my thinking change once my body feels more regulated and present? There is no urgency here. Embodiment happens at the pace the body allows. What have you noticed about when you are regulated and when you are not? Please share below. ❤️🧡❤️🧡

Noticing embodied:
Lately many people are sensing a kind of background instability. The world feels louder, sharper, and harder to ignore. When the systems around us are under strain, our bodies often register it before our minds do. Shorter tempers, scattered focus, sudden fatigue, irritability, numbness, or relentlessness aren't personal failures- they are common nervous system responses to an unsettled environment. One of the first skills we practice here is noticing- NOT FIXING - Not judging. Just noticing what's happening in you when the world gets shakey. Dysregulated systems tend to create dysregulated reactions, and that doesn't mean something is wrong with you- it means you're human, responsive, and still paying attention. Awareness is the beginning of regulation. So before trying to make sense of anything "out there" .. pause .. and ground. Feel your feet. Drop your shoulders. Take one slow breath and ask yourself- what am I noticing in my body right now? (Without trying to change it) This space is designed to help you stay steady while everything moves around you. You're not broken. You're responding. And learning to notice that response - gently- is where coherence begins. What are you noticing??? Share with us so we can all learn and relate together. ❤️

@Ms. J D absolutely. Use the tools that work for you. You know what you're aligned with. Stay steady. Know that witnessing is enough. The burden is not your to carry alone. 🧡🤗
The first practice: Noticing
Before clarity, before belief, before meaning, there is noticing. Most confusion right now isn't caused by lack of intelligence or information. It's caused by bodies and nervous systems that are overloaded, rushed, or braced without realizing it. Coherence starts when you begin to notice your internal state without trying to change it. Tightness, urgency, certainty, shutdown - none of these are failures. They're signals. When you can recognize what's happening inside of you, discernment becomes possible again. This is where we will start: learning how to notice without judgement or hurry. 3 helpful hits at noticing : 1. What sensations do I notice in my body right now? Tightness, relentlessness, ease, numbness - without trying to change them 2. What situations or topics lately create urgency or certainty in me, and what do they feel like in my body? 3. When I slow down a little - do I feel more settled - or more uncomfortable - and what might that be telling me? Share some of what you notice below. Welcome to our community ❤️

Welcome
Welcome to The Grounded Ones This space exists for people who are done being lied to - by systems, stories and themselves. Not in an angry way. In a clear eyed way. This is not a belief system, a guru space, or a place to perform identity. There is no ideology to adopt and no leader to follow. What we practice instead is staying regulated, honest, and coherent while living inside of a chaotic system that profits from dysregulation and confusion. You're welcome here if you value : *Truth over comfort *Nervous system regulation over. reactivity *Discernment over certainty *Responsibility over blame You're not expected to agree with anyone. You are expected to stay Grounded, respectful, and curious. Take your time. Read. Listen. Speak when it feels real. If you'd like to introduce yourself; share what brought you here - not who you think you're supposed to be. Glad you found your way in. Let's enjoy the journey together ❤️
