💚 Why I Don’t Rush Young Horses...
...but I do suggest starting to get things done, implemented and understood as young as possible. Why? Because they need the time to understand. So the sooner things are explained to them, the sooner they will understand compared to for example, others who were not. Speed creates reactions sure, might even look like the finished product but it rarely is and shows up later, whereas time creates understanding, and confidence and lower expectations being met with good ones. A young horse who is allowed to grow into their work, physically and mentally becomes the horse who lasts. And longevity will always matter more than quick results. What’s something you’re choosing not to rush right now? 🐴✨🫶

Even though Celeste was "under the saddle" when the owners bought her it was very clear that she was both mentally and physically nowhere ready for that (even though she was 5). I decided to take it easy and didnt ride the first few months so she could grow in het body more. Started from zero again very slowly to rebuild her trust. It paid of listening to her. Along the way I have to take some steps back with her which always resulted in more progression after that.💪🏽

💪 And we’re currently sitting at #172 in Discovery. All organically. No Ads. No podcast promotion (yet). Just a website update, a few social posts/stories, a couple of reels with a CTA… and you. That honestly means a lot.🥰 This space is growing because of engagement, curiosity, and people who genuinely want to get good with their horses. And that’s exactly how I hoped it would grow. As we expand, I thought it might be nice to open the floor a little. You can find most of my background, career highlights, and story on my website here: ABOUT Zoë, but I’m always happy to answer questions more personally. So I’m curious, do you have any questions about: - my journey with horses? - my career path? - mistakes I’ve made? - lessons that shaped me? - what I believe now vs years ago? Nothing is off limits (within reason 😉). If you’ve ever wondered something and thought, “Maybe I’ll ask one day” - this is your moment. Let’s talk. Love you 😘 🐴✨🫶

Well done!
New week, new training 😎
So so proud, once again😂 Getting on today was a little bit more of a struggle today, unfortunately. With some patience we got there in the end! The riding went absolutely great again! Safe to say we progressed a lot today from beginning (pictures on top) to the end (bottom pictures)! Her trot had never felt so amazing as it did today towards the end💪🏽
New week, new training 😎
🐎 Week 6 - 2026
Hi friends, Alright, let’s do our Weekly Wins 🤩 ✨ Before I head off for the weekend (I’ll be away and a little quieter here), I’d still love to hear from you. What’s wins have you had this week? Maybe something like: - What felt easier than it used to? - What did you notice about yourself this week? - Was there a moment where you chose a new focus over frustration? I’ll read everything and reply as soon as I’m back. Have a lovely weekend, everyone, Happy Horsing, Zoë 🐴✨🫶

✨ Every day is a dream…
…when I get to play with this one! Thought was a nice clip to share using rhythmic pressure to back up! We can also do it without, just on breath and energy or with smaller cues of course, so thought this was a nice reminder that predictable pressure creates confident horses. It believe it does not help to always have secret small cues, it’s also not how horses talk always either. Includes hunt (touch) the fence with your butt and come back to mumma, without moving my feet for draw. Followed by a full on Lenny the Licker frenzy 😂🫣🤭 Filmed 2 days ago when we were blessed with a teaser of spring 🌼 🐴 ☀️
