Favourite Childhood Outdoor Activity?
Do you have a favourite childhood outdoor activity that you can remember doing? It doesn't have to be the intricate carving with your granddad's penknife but equally that's great too! - Mine? being outdoors during the summer holidays, the freshly cut grass smell, my friends chapping on my door to see if I was 'coming oot to play' and then us all racing from the top of the council estate to the bottom, jumping fences and trying not to get caught! Great fun, even funnier if a friend was caught and being given a row 😅 Good times Anyone else want to reminisce 😁 Kids these days just won't have the same memories!

Playing on the beach and water at my grandma and grandpa’s lakefront home. Looking for Petoskey stones.

What's the one outdoor skill that you could do with brushing up on that you keep putting off?

Relearning how to build a fire with a piece of flint. Haven't done it in a while as I do not want to start a forest fire!

@Lisa O'Brien oh sure… I just haven’t taken the time!
The '3x3 Reset' Framework
🤔 A simple method used outdoors to clear your head, boost energy, and feel back in control. Most people think they need hours outside or the perfect weather or gear, but we really don't. They need structure. ⚠️ The mistake most people make: They go outdoors… but stay mentally indoors. This means phone in hand, distracted, thoughts racing, we can all be a little guilty of this from time to time. 🧭 The 3x3 Reset 1️⃣ Move for 3 minutes - No overthinking. Just move your body. - Walk with purpose - Climb something small - Carry a log, a bag, anything with weight 💡 Goal: Change your physiology first. Your brain follows your body. 2️⃣ Notice 3 things Pause. Slow it down. - 1 thing you can hear - 1 thing you can see - 1 thing you can feel 💡 This pulls you out of your head and into the present. (Eckhart Tolle - The Power of Now is a great book on this) 3️⃣ Breathe for 3 cycles 👃🏼In through the nose. Slow out. In for 4 • • • • Out for 6 • • • • • • 💡 Longer exhales = nervous system starts to recalibrate. 🔁 Repeat x3 rounds That’s it. 🔥 Why does this work: + Movement burns off stress hormones + Awareness grounds you + Breathing helps regulate your nervous system 👣 Your challenge: Try this once today. Even if it’s just outside your front door. Drop the outcome in the comments 👇🏼

I just wanted to personally thank you all, from the bottom of my heart for being here, engaging and helping others and myself to learn and grow. I hope that you have had the same opportunity and with that in mind, let's see if we can get the group to that nice round number 😎 Challenge of the day: Share this space with at least 1 person you know who likes the outdoors or needs a bit of recalibration in their lives. 🌿

Who I Am
My name is Kaleb Bradley. I am a 24 year old U.S. Navy veteran. I am originally from North Carolina, but have lived all over the world. I have travel to places such as Japan, Guam, Mexico, and 7 different islands in the Caribbean. I have also traveled and lived in 25 states across the United States to include Hawaii. I grew up in the woods hunting, fishing, camping, and learning everything I could about nature. I have been in this community for about 1 month now, and I just feel the need to let everyone know I am here to help. If anyone has any questions, please feel free to ask, and I will help as best I can. This is not some AI generated bio slop that I generated from chat gpt. This is me telling you WHO I AM. Thank you for your time. Have a blessed day.
