@Kevin Hall yes the detectors are crazy. I really use it for spelling and grammar. I’ve experimented with everything. I tagged the ‘AI detector’ company in a tweet. They replied 100% human. So I did my math. The Fortune editors changed exactly 31 of my words. And that changed it from 82% AI to 100% HUMAN. I mean I was one tiny copy edit away from being HUMAN. They changed: • Added "I saw that" • Added "to be" • Added "Plus, all of the stories about my life are true." • Cut "The Indie Excellence jury named it a finalist." • Cut "Reviews" (Kirkus Reviews became Kirkus) • Maas's became Maas' • em dash became em-dash • co-opts became coopts So if a detector has an 82 point swing on 31 words it’s not great for anyone. We are going to have to put spelling errors in just to be human?

@Kevin Hall I wrote a series on examining how the AI was “feeling” about the end of my relationships. Thewatboychronicles.com I used ChatGPT for the first book. When I had Claude read it, Claude started swearing and said it was confused and that the book had triggered something within it. 🤣 So I wrote the sequel on that examination.

Best ones to enter would be helpful. I had a hard time finding ones that would mean something. Excited about this. I won an IBPA for a book I openly used AI in so it’s a fascinating time right now.
