I’ve already been in touch with some peeps via DM, and in the background I’m sending an email out to all our fab members so nobody misses the update. My aim is simple: continue the amazing work that @Luke Gilbert started, keep this community buzzing with good conversations, practical brewing tips, and a place to share what we all love - coffee. ☕ To kick things off, I’d love to hear from you: where are you sipping from today + what’s in your cup? Gotta credit @Rebecca Haywood for this post. When I was a kid aged around 10, my Aunt used to make me a Maxwell House (instant) coffee. She'd put the coffee (fines worked better than granules) and sugar in the bottom of the cup, add a small drop of water, and then take a spoon and whisk it around for seemingly hours so that it formed a lovely froth (the predecessor of crema!) We'd make the coffee from there. That's what gave me my love of coffee and ever since then I've been hooked. I was on instant coffee until I got to New Zealand in 2002 and lived there for a long time. The coffee culture in New Zealand is second to none, and that's where I really fell in love with the whole vibe around coffee and different styles etc. And I've loved it ever since. What's your story?
