New host here - let's do a quick roll call
๐Ÿ‘‹ Hey everyone, Nicky here. Iโ€™m delighted to step in as your new host for this community! Iโ€™ve already been in touch with some peeps via DM, and in the background Iโ€™m sending an email out to all our fab members so nobody misses the update. My aim is simple: continue the amazing work that @Luke Gilbert started, keep this community buzzing with good conversations, practical brewing tips, and a place to share what we all love - coffee. โ˜• To kick things off, Iโ€™d love to hear from you: where are you sipping from today + whatโ€™s in your cup? Drop a quick comment (pic welcome!) so we can get a roll call going. Looking forward to getting to know you all. ๐Ÿ™Œ Nicky ps: I'm in Ireland. My first of the day WAS a Rebel House Espresso from javathehutt.ie roastery. It's a fab bean from Brazil. We also serve it in our converted horse box coffee trailer which is parked up at our local football club full time. I'm fully caffeinated and ready for the day!

Who Are You?
Hello, friends! This is the official collective post for all members to introduce themselves. Weโ€™d love for you to take a moment to tell us about yourself: - Who are you, and what do you do for a living? - What do you love to do in your personal time? - Feel free to share a link to your social media, website, business or offer. ๐Ÿ’ก ๐—œ๐— ๐—ฃ๐—ข๐—ฅ๐—ง๐—”๐—ก๐—ง: In this post, youโ€™re welcome to share a little about what you do or a service you offer. However, make sure your introduction isnโ€™t just a pitchโ€”weโ€™re here to learn about you, not just what youโ€™re selling. Once youโ€™ve introduced yourself, take some time to explore the comments and see who else is here. Feel free to reply and connect with othersโ€”itโ€™s what this community is all about! (Always use the reply function for this) Let's stay connected.. โ˜• ๐—ฅ๐—ฒ๐—บ๐—ฒ๐—บ๐—ฏ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ: - This is the only place in the community that self promotion is acceptable. - If you find someone interesting you can also 'follow' them and you will be notified every-time they write a post. - You can always come back and 'edit' your introduction if thing change.

@Lawk Othman haha... YES I can so relate with this... when I had a coffee shop this was the first thing I would do... in fact I actually really enjoyed being the first there way before everyone else and just taking my time to dial-in the grinder and trying out a few new recipes etc before the shop would open ... really was a wonderful time
Where/how/why did you develop your love of coffee?
Gotta credit @Rebecca Haywood for this post. When I was a kid aged around 10, my Aunt used to make me a Maxwell House (instant) coffee. She'd put the coffee (fines worked better than granules) and sugar in the bottom of the cup, add a small drop of water, and then take a spoon and whisk it around for seemingly hours so that it formed a lovely froth (the predecessor of crema!) We'd make the coffee from there. That's what gave me my love of coffee and ever since then I've been hooked. I was on instant coffee until I got to New Zealand in 2002 and lived there for a long time. The coffee culture in New Zealand is second to none, and that's where I really fell in love with the whole vibe around coffee and different styles etc. And I've loved it ever since. What's your story?

I have not been to NZ, but the guy who first taught me a LOT about coffee was @Vernon Omeri who is a master of coffee and from NZ :) so that makes sense.
