No answer on over 500 calls
I’ve been in sales for several years now, but I’ve only done warm calling (I worked as a Business Development Specialist and Account Manager for a property management company). I recently started a new position and made over 500 cold calls, but only 1-2 people picked up. With so few responses, I feel like I’m not getting enough opportunities to sharpen my skills. Is this normal, or is there something I should consider changing?

@Tucker Indrikovic this is gold. I’ve fallen in this trap a lot of times, and it seems that so many others still do. Seems a way to convince yourself that you’re doing stuff without really doing anything. Your words should be reminded everyday

Never heard about this book, thanks, I’ll check it out. Yes, it also depends by the methods. In a more general manner I realized that, as in life, if you’re true to yourself, everything will work out fine. Then you can shift a bit, add something and modify some parts to match better the prospect or the situation but never do something that is not-you or it will be a mess, at least in my experience
