Do what you want...
As they say, when you start a business to solve a problem or fulfill a need, the money will come, and there will be career satisfaction as well, partly because you are lucky to do what you want, but also because you are solving a problem or fulfilling a need as you do so.

@Clara Githaiga Client retention as the scalable ROI multiplier is exactly right. The systems that create retention are usually the same ones that generate the referral — consistent follow-up, fast response, no dropped calls. When the experience is reliable, the referral becomes automatic.

@Clara Githaiga After-sales is where most agencies disappear — the client wins and the follow-up goes quiet. The ones that retain are the ones who stay visible after the result lands. AI makes that touchpoint scale without creating a bottleneck for the agency.
How do I start...?
Some students have been working with the information from this course during working on the different modules of this course. If you have earned your certificate, you can now freelance, consult, and /or start your own business. Offer an initial free service; for example, build a simple Website from scratch for free and then charge for website maintenance. The free initial sample outlines your professionalism and knowledge and verifies why you are paying top dollar.

That survey point is exactly right — most businesses treat the sale as the finish line when it's actually the starting line for retention. The client who feels seen post-purchase refers without being asked. The one who feels forgotten churns quietly and you never know why.

Exactly — that 'felt seen' feeling is the whole business. It's not a nice-to-have, it's what determines whether the relationship ends at the first purchase or keeps building.
The key recipe behind succesful start ups.
The most successful start-up businesses are those that : 1) Solve a problem and/or 2) Fulfill a need. And, of course, the business that executes and implements its strategic SMART goals by simply taking action. Start today.

Hey Laurent! Nice to meet you too 😊 Business is very much up and running — I build AI automation systems for service businesses. Missed-call-to-booking, lead follow-up, re-engagement sequences — the infrastructure that makes sure no lead falls through the gap. What about you?

That optimization loop is exactly it — the feedback becomes the product roadmap. Most businesses treat client feedback as a complaint to manage instead of a signal to build from. The ones who treat it as data end up with an offering that almost sells itself.
Here’s how I handle the typical “send me an email” objection on a cold call.
A lot of people say that we should try to book a meeting even after someone says “send me an email”. When I do that, it never goes anywhere. Even when I send them an email, they never reply. Not just this, when I try to call them again, they never pick up my phone. Instead of trying to force a meeting, here’s what I found works really well (at least for me). So when the prospect says “send me an email”, I don’t fight back. Sometimes, people are genuinely interested and they need some more time and space to make a decision. If you fight back, they feel like you’re forcing and trying to “sell”. I agree to sending them an email after confirming their email address. But, before I hang up, I ask a question. And this is key. This tells me if the prospect is genuinely interested or are they just trying to get off the phone. I ask, “Is it okay if I call you back this week, to see if you got a chance to read the email?” The ones who are really interested will say yes. But the ones who are not interested will say no. This helps me keep my expectations in check. Use it and let me know how it goes.

@Rose Cario Appreciate the offer! I'm on the automation side rather than e-commerce — I build AI systems for businesses rather than run stores myself. But if any of your clients ever struggle with missed inquiries or need their follow-up automated, that's exactly where I come in. Could be a good referral fit either way!

@Rose Cario You're very persistent Rose, I'll give you that! 😄 Genuinely don't need a store I'm a systems builder, not an e-commerce seller. Appreciate the hustle though, keep going!
Digital marketing
Hey guys, did any of you work after the course? How do I work and how do I start?

After finishing a course, the fastest path is to pick ONE service and offer it to 3 people for free or cheap to build proof. Digital marketing is broad — getting specific (e.g. 'I help local businesses get more enquiries from Google') makes it far easier to sell. The skill matters less than the clarity of the offer at first.
