ANNOUNCEMENT
The live meet and greet session scheduled for January 18th will have to be postponed. I'm still trying to get over the flu bug and my voice is all croaky. I'll reschedule a new time and add it to the calendar.

Sounds good! You rest and enjoy your day. It’ll happen when it’s time. 💕
Creative Playing
My daughter was playing with scrap paper and said she wanted to keep it to make a dog. I laughed and said no while I was playing with some fabric. A few minutes later she developed the below creation. What she taught me is that if you have enough imagination you can do anything with anything. Six years old and teaching a 55 year old. She proceeded to let me film her as she explained her process on a video. Sounded so professional and like she was an expert. The confidence and assured movements just made me happy as a clam. Creative works are just about anything you can imagine. Having the confidence to play and make mistakes and enjoy the process. She says let’s cut and paste again tomorrow and make another video. I for one am following her lead. Been wanting to film my own content but wasn’t confident until now. Out of the mouth of babes! Be creative! Have fun! Play and create what you love and who cares if you make a mistake. Video it and keep doing it. Onward, your fellow stitcher sister, Lisa

Slow Stitch Needle Book
This is my latest slow stitch needle book. Needles can be placed on the woollen pieces or in the centre crazy patch page. I have included pockets for putting threads etc in. The front cover is a needle turn appliqué block given to me by a quilting friend who has since passed away. I have several of these blocks in varying sizes and am going to use them for similar projects. I added stitching and other ephemera to it. I have even found the perfect sized block for the front cover of my first cozy hugs book.

@Valorie Rossi just lovely
Hand piecing
Have to say I’m a bit proud of how this turned out. It was all hand done as I don’t own a sewing machine. But when I showed Hubby, he got a glimmer in his eye and said he wants me to make him a quilt. And I replied, “You’ll have to buy me a machine for that to happen!” Turns out he considered getting me one for Christmas but didn’t know enough about them to buy one! Fabrics all hold significance to me in some way…

That’s awesome. When the hubby gets excited that’s even better. I’m sure the machine is in your future and so is quilting!
Creating Floral Slow Stitched Fabric Art
I apologize for the video quality, but I thought you could still enjoy this older process video about creating floral fabric art with simple shapes.
