Weekend dinner idea
For something healthy that the boy might eat as well, I’m trying hummus coated chicken with sweet potato mash and winter squash. We’re still cooking so I’ll let you know how it goes but I’d love to hear what you’re cooking your little ones this weekend??

We went out to a rather grown up Chinese restaurant! We all are well and mama got to have a cocktail 🍹
Mealtime Magic: Kids Copy Kids
Lunch today was a reminder of how much kids copy each other! My friend’s little girl happily put on her bib after seeing my son wearing one.🥄💛 Anyone else notice how easily children are influenced during mealtimes?

Eating together, and making sure their is always an option for my son. Today II wanted sweet and salty popcorn. I didn’t want to give to my son mainly because popcorn is a chocking jazzzars and his 22 months. When I bought myself popcorn, I boughtt him a suitable snack he was happy and I got popcorn! win/wim.

Fun screen free restaurant experience!
We regularly take our 22-month-old to restaurants and have done since he was a baby! My husband and I are both aligned on no screens at mealtimes, and we’ve found that dining out with a toddler can work really well when you plan around their needs. Our top tips: ⏱️ Don’t expect them to stay out dining for hours. 🥝 Bring a snack (our son is a foodie!) to keep them going while waiting for food. 👨‍🍳 Check the menu in advance and plan what they’ll eat. 📚Take a book or small toy and bring it out only when needed to keep them engaged. 🗣️Talk to them and actively engage to hold their attention. With a little preparation and realistic expectations, eating out as a family can be enjoyable for everyone. 🤍 Do you dine out with your children? If so, how do you find the experience? Please share your experience and any additional tips below ⬇️

Natures Candy! 🥝🍇🍓
My son loves fruit, I have not introduced him to processed sugar yet so it really is his version of 🍭 His current favourite is KIWI. What’s your child’s fav fruit and what age did you introduce sugar/sweet treats!

@David P my little guy loves watermelon too! 🍉 I alway said until 2 years old but it’s been pretty easy so I think I’ll hold off for as long as possible. I have let him have plain biscuits and ginger biscuits at Christmas! When I think there’s going to be sugary or chocolate cake in environments out of the home I take his yummy homemade bannana bread he likes so he can eat cake too!
