THURSDAY — Vocabulary (April 23)
Vocabulary: Containment Containment is the ability to hold what you’re feeling without immediately reacting to it. It doesn’t mean ignoring it. It doesn’t mean pushing it down. It means: 👉 you can feel something 👉 without needing to act on it right away This is what we’ve been building this week. Because when something feels urgent… most people: explain react fix escalate Containment is the pause before that. It’s the moment where you can say: “I feel this… but I don’t have to move on it yet.” And this is why it matters. Because when you don’t have containment… you stay in conversations too long you say more than you needed to you try to be understood instead of deciding ...And that’s where you lose yourself. Containment gives you that space back. Not by shutting down… but by staying with yourself long enough to choose what you actually want to do next. You don’t need to get rid of the feeling. You need to learn how to hold it without letting it decide for you.
