Title: The System vs. The Hustle: The Core Mindset You Need to Win
Hey team, As you're going through the FINternship—studying for your papers and learning the ropes—I want to pull back the curtain and talk about the fundamental "why" behind this entire system. You've probably heard the statistic: 90% of new financial advisors fail. That number isn't meant to scare you. It's the reason this community exists. We are here to be the exception. And to do that, you need to understand the core difference between the advisors who burn out and the ones who build legacies. It’s not about talent. It’s about the model you operate in. The Math That Builds Conviction: $40/hour vs. $600/hour I want you to internalize this framework. It’s the foundation of everything we do. Most commission-based professionals, like an interior designer I know, get caught in the $40/hour trap. They can make a $3,000 commission, but it costs them 75+ hours of unscalable work (sales, project management, revisions). The model we are building you for is different. It’s a $600+/hour model. How? Leverage. Your job isn't to handle the product R&D, the paperwork, or the fulfillment—the company does that. Your job is to focus on the highest-value, scalable activities: building relationships and providing solutions. How Our System Is Designed for Leverage This concept of leverage is exactly why the Advisor OS is built the way it is. It’s not just "support"—it's a machine designed to eliminate low-leverage work from your plate. - The Lead Engine & Appointment Setters handle the most time-consuming part of the business: prospecting. This frees you from the $40/hour work. - The Admin & Ops Team handles the backend paperwork and servicing. This allows you to stay focused on the $600/hour work. Your only job is to master the high-leverage skills: Book. Meet. Close. How to Maximize Your Time in the FINternship: The 3 Non-Negotiables The system is here to give you leverage, but you are the one who has to use it. As you move through this program, your success will be determined by how well you cultivate these three core traits:

🚀 From Solo Effort to Navy SEAL Culture: How Teams Truly Scale
When does a group of individuals become a real high-performing team? In my latest training, I shared how delegation, knowledge sharing, and a “Navy SEALs” mindset can transform scattered efforts into unstoppable momentum. Key takeaways: - Delegate smartly: free yourself from low-value, energy-draining tasks. - Stack the LEGO bricks together: small contributions compound into massive collective results. - Adopt a growth “religion”: everyone contributes, everyone benefits. - Push your limits: consistency and discipline expand your capacity over time. 💡 Here’s the big question for all of us:👉 What’s ONE way you can contribute to the team’s growth this week—whether it’s sharing a resource, helping a peer, or pushing your own boundaries? Drop your thoughts below 👇—your answer might inspire someone else in the community to step up too. You don’t need therapy to take action. You need a reason that hurts enough
The road to hell is paved with good intentions. But the equal opposite is that the road to heaven might be paved with bad ones. Nobody talks about the upside of negative emotions. We’re told to “heal,” “let go,” and “only do things from a place of love.” But sometimes… Rage builds empires. Spite breaks generational curses. Here’s what most people get wrong about motivation: They wait to “feel good” before they take action. But the people who win? They use anything to move forward. Pain. Insecurity. Revenge. Embarrassment. If it gets you to take the first step, it’s valid. I didn’t become disciplined by meditating. I became disciplined by being sick of my own bullshit. You don’t have to be a monk to change your life. You just need to get angry enough to stop wasting it. Use the darkness to light the fire. Eventually, the flame will carry itself.

Don’t be an askhole.
You know the type: Always asking for advice. Never doing a damn thing with it. The truth? Advice is free. Execution is expensive. Here’s what most people get wrong about asking for help: They think the value is in the answer. It’s not. The value is in doing something with it. Every successful person you look up to? They didn’t ask better questions. They just moved faster on the answers. You can’t get wealthier with other people’s money. But you can get wiser with other people’s wisdom. Only if you act on them.

Weekly Wrap Up, 4th May
This week, I’m feeling deeply grateful for the pillars of support around me — especially my teammates and my wife. Amidst the chaos of moving houses and juggling so many work commitments — planning events, organising hangouts, trying to engage our wider community — their steady presence kept me anchored and grounded. One of the highlights was our incredible MDRT Day on Monday. It was truly a full day packed with learning from so many inspiring speakers. The sessions challenged us to rethink our mindset, dream bigger, and be more intentional about growth. I also loved how we got to explore new platforms like GoalsMapper and estate planning — exciting tools that will sharpen how we serve our clients. In terms of values this week, it wasn’t about flashy, radical changes. It was simply about showing up consistently. Doing the small things right, again and again. Repetition has been my quiet but powerful teacher. Tuesday was another fulfilling day — Gabriel stepped up to help train the new Finterns, coaching them in role plays and sharpening their sales presentation skills. It’s heartening to see the next wave of advisors getting equipped and gaining confidence. On Wednesday, we hosted an investment webinar, diving into the impact of Trump tariffs on the markets. Throughout the week, I also made it a point to catch up 1-to-1 with a few Finterns over lunch — those conversations, while simple, reminded me again how important it is to be present, listen, and pour into the next generation. It’s been a packed week on the operations front too — completed more than a dozen interviews, handled more than a few Q&A calls, and had over a dozen client meetings and Zoom sessions, with a good number of successful closings along the way! Thankful for the momentum. A key insight that hit me this week is how much better my career presentations has become, simply through sheer repetition, feedback, and 1-to-1 engagement. It's funny how something that used to feel so awkward now feels second nature. There’s still so much to learn, and I’m excited for it.
