HOW TO NOT GET SCAMMED 🥴👇
i saw @Diana-Maria Giura and @Lenie Saplan ask about some sketchy emails they've been getting, and I wanted to take a moment to address it. We’ve all been there—getting an email that looks promising, but something doesn’t sit right. So, let’s break it down and make sure you know how to spot a scam. 🚨 It’s a scam if: - They ask for upfront payment. No legit brand will ever ask you to pay them to work with you. - They offer crazy high numbers that just don’t add up. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. - The email is from a @gmail.com address instead of a professional domain like @brandname.com. ⚠️ These are also red flags (but not always a scam): - The email feels generic, like they just copy-pasted it to 100 people. - They don’t use your name or social media handle—doesn’t show that they really know who you are. - they leave out important details, and your gut tells you something’s off. I’ve dealt with scams in the past too, and trust me—it’s part of the process. its how i lost €160,- 🫠 But don’t worry! I cover how to protect yourself from these situations more in depth in my UGC Strategy Guide, where there's a dedicated lesson all about spotting scams and avoiding them. If you ever get an email you’re unsure about, feel free to drop it here, and we’ll help you figure it out. Stay safe, and keep creating! 💪
