Why I niched down my community
Last week I was watching @Alex Hormozi Q&A recording on How to grow an audience from zero. He shared a lot of valuable 💎 insights, but the one that really hit me was: “It’s far easier to compete in a small pond than the big one” I already knew niching down was important but I never took it seriously. I used to think if I niched down, I’d lose a lot of potential leads. But Alex answered that perfectly people worry they’ll lose leads, but what they don’t realize is if you niche down enough, you can charge 10x, 50x, even 100x more. Because now you’re not competing with everyone, you’re the big fish in your small pond He gave an example from his 100M Offers book: - Time management course = $19 - Time management course for sales professionals = $99 - Time management course for outbound B2B sales = $499 - Time management course for B2B power tools & gardening sales reps = $1,997 ---> $19 for a time management course and $1,997 for the same course just targeted to a super-specific group. That’s what niching down does After watching his video, I finally decided to niche down my community. Now I’m not trying to help everyone, just one avatar I actually enjoy working with and know I can get results for. Not only is my message clearer but I also don’t have to create a custom plan for every new member. If it worked for past members in this niche, it’s gonna work for new ones too In just 3 days, I got 7 new member requests. So yeah… niching down has way more pros than cons 😅 Are you competing in a big pond or a small one?
