MOTS-C: The Folate Problem Nobody Warns You About (And How to Fix It)
Derek Note: I feel like we've covered a lot of the well-known peptides and I want to do at least 1 post a day, going deeper in some side effects that pop up and how to mitigate them. I am a peptide nerd at heart and want to provide real value daily in the space. You guys support peptideprice.store I provide as much free info as possible. Drop a ๐Ÿ”ฅ if you're excited for this series. Let's Jump Into The Folate Problem (I have seen 0 creators talk about this except Dr. Dean St. Mart s/o https://www.youtube.com/@Deanstm) Quick Recap: How MOTS-C Actually Works MOTS-C is a peptide encoded by your mitochondrial DNA that triggers your body to build MORE mitochondria (cellular power plants). But here's the key: it doesn't just "turn on" mitochondrial growth - it forces it through metabolic stress. The mechanism: MOTS-C blocks folate metabolism pathways, similar to how methotrexate works. When your cells detect this folate "stress," they activate survival pathways (like AMPK) that trigger mitochondrial biogenesis. Your body essentially thinks: "We're under metabolic stress, we need MORE power plants to survive." This is the entire mechanism - not a side effect. The folate blocking IS what creates the adaptation. You can't have the mitochondrial benefits without the folate depletion. It's like training: You stress the muscle โ†’ Body adapts by building more muscle. MOTS-C: You block folate โ†’ Body adapts by building more mitochondria. The problem: While your body is busy building new mitochondria, your actual folate levels are tanking. And those new mitochondria can't function without folate. Neither can your brain. The One Thing You Must Understand MOTS-C blocks folate to trigger mitochondrial growth - this is HOW it works. But blocked folate = depleted folate = brain fog, mood crashes, and fatigue. Most people feel amazing for 2 weeks, then wonder why they suddenly feel like shit. This is why. What Folate Does (Why This Matters)

Tomorrow Night Is Going To Be Fun ๐Ÿ”ฅ
I'm sitting here going through this new vendor's site again and honestly? The variety is INSANE. You guys are going to lose your minds when you see what's coming to PeptidePrice.store tomorrow. Aiming for around 5pm MST hopefully sooner! This isn't just another vendor addition โ€” this is exactly the kind of quality jump I've been working toward for 2026. Remember how I said we're raising the bar? Yeah... this is what I meant. โœ… Their testing protocols? Next level. โœ… Their product range? Way beyond what most vendors offer. โœ… Their professionalism? Finally matches what this community deserves. I've been holding this one close because I wanted to make sure EVERYTHING was perfect first. Package is here, I'm back in Denver tomorrow, and we're ready to roll. This is the standard we're setting going forward. Can't wait to show you what we've been cooking up. Tomorrow night, we level up the entire game. See you then ๐Ÿ™

๐Ÿšจ Why I'll NEVER Support US Companies That Take Backorders or Preorders
I just published something that's been on my mind for a while, and I need you all to read this. We've all seen it happenโ€”US research companies operating like grey market vendors, taking your money upfront for peptides they don't even have in stock yet. And I'm here to tell you why this is a MASSIVE red flag that you need to avoid at all costs. The Purified Aminos Story You Need to Know In the article, I break down what happened with Purified Aminosโ€”a company that was collecting money, using it to buy in bulk (to save on costs), and making researchers wait MONTHS for their peptides. And when testing lead times got too long and the pressure built up? They started shipping UNTESTED product. Then they disappeared completely. This is the kind of stuff that happens when US companies run preorder/backorder models. Here's What I Cover: โœ… Why the entire point of a US research company is having inventory READY and TESTED โœ… The moral dilemma companies face when a batch fails testing (but they've already got your money) โœ… Red flags to watch for that show a company is operating more like a reseller than a real supplier โœ… What legitimate operations actually look like The Bottom Line: If a US research company can't afford to stock inventory and test products BEFORE selling them, they're not ready to be in business. Period. And if they're choosing to operate on preorders anyway? They're prioritizing their cash flow over YOUR research timeline and safety. Read the full breakdown here: ๐Ÿ‘‰ https://open.substack.com/pub/derekpruski/p/why-us-research-companies-should?r=4jq1x8&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web&showWelcomeOnShare=true This is exactly why I built PeptidePrice.storeโ€”so you can compare REAL companies with REAL inventory, not companies playing financial games with your money. Drop a comment if you've dealt with backorder nightmares. Let's talk about it. The more transparent we are about this stuff, the harder it is for bad actors to survive in this space.

๐Ÿง  Selank: The Solution to Anxiety Before Bed & Racing Thoughts?
Disclaimer: This post discusses research peptides for educational purposes only Let's talk about Selank - specifically how it's being researched for the most frustrating part of sleep optimization: that brain that just WON'T. SHUT. OFF. You know the feeling. You're exhausted, you're in bed, lights are off... and your brain decides it's the perfect time to replay every conversation from the day, plan tomorrow's meetings, remember that embarrassing thing from 2012, and solve world hunger all at once. What Is Selank? Selank is a synthetic peptide derived from tuftsin (an immune system peptide). It's primarily researched for its anxiolytic (anti-anxiety) properties and unique effects on mental clarity without sedation. Key mechanism: Selank appears to modulate GABA, serotonin, and dopamine neurotransmitter systems while also affecting BDNF (brain-derived neurotrophic factor). Racing Thoughts & Sleep Quality: What Research Suggests: Anxiolytic Without Sedation - Unlike traditional sleep aids, Selank doesn't force sedation - Research shows it reduces anxiety and mental hyperactivity - Helps quiet the "mental chatter" without making you feel drugged Evening Administration Effects - Users commonly report reduced racing thoughts 30-60 minutes post-administration - Mental "volume" decreases - thoughts still exist but aren't intrusive - Easier transition into natural sleep without feeling artificially tired Sleep Architecture - Research indicates Selank doesn't disrupt natural sleep cycles - May improve sleep quality by reducing anxiety-related sleep fragmentation - No next-day grogginess commonly reported with sleep medications Cognitive Effects - Maintains mental clarity (not a sedative) - Reduces stress response without cognitive impairment - Some research suggests improved stress resilience over time Research Considerations: Typical Research Protocols: - Common dosing: 300-600mcg - Evening administration: 30-60 minutes before intended sleep - Intranasal or subcutaneous routes studied - Effects may be cumulative over several days

This is great information great to know. I just purchased this the other day with your code. Is it ok to take during the day? Or is it recommended to only take at night?

How To Reconstitute MOTS-C 10mg
Hey everyone! If you're looking for guidance on reconstituting MOTS-C, here's a straightforward walkthrough. The Formula: - Use 10 units (0.1 ml) of bacteriostatic water per 1mg of peptide - For a 10mg vial: add 1ml (100 units) of bacteriostatic water Pro tip: Always inject the water slowly down the side of the vial to avoid foaming, and let it dissolve naturallyโ€”no shaking needed. Drop any questions below, and I'm happy to help! ๐Ÿซถ
