Hi, I'm Laura. I'm from Poland, I'm a dive instructor trainer, and I'm learning French cause it helps me to work with more clients and different locations. I'm at the very beginning of my French-learning journey. I just recently got the VIP package, and I already see how helpful it is. Much better than the previous platform I was using. Happy to be part of this community.
Upgrade your French arguments!
Bonjour! Tomorrow we are tackling a hot topic in our live discussion class: L'utilisation des réseaux sociaux (The use of social media). When are we meeting? - Bangkok: 9:00 PM - UK (BST): 3:00 PM - US (EST): 10:00 AM To get your brain in gear, let’s ditch the textbook parce que (because) and level up your arguments with these natural native alternatives: - Puisque (Since / Seeing that) - Du fait que (Due to the fact that) - D'autant plus que (Especially since) Why this matters Varied connectors instantly make you sound more structured and persuasive, shifting you from "translating English" to actually thinking in French. Join us tomorrow! Spots are limited, so reserve yours now. And don't worry if you feel intimidated—this is not strictly an advanced class! I will completely adapt the pace and language to the specific students who join. It’s a safe, high-energy space to practice speaking spontaneously, no matter where you are starting from. See you inside the live room!

What a great topic! 😊
Learning out loud!
Couple of months ago I attempted a French tongue twister song. I stumbled, laughed, made mistakes. Every step is a reminder that progress is built in real time. Sometimes I like having little fun while learning. You can do that too! The question is would you?

Petit à Petit... Lâche Pas la Patate!
Bon lundi à tous et à toutes ! If you’ve ever felt like your brain is melting while trying to learn French, I get it. In fact, the French-speaking world has two very different (and very funny) ways to tell you to keep going. 1. In France 🇫🇷 "Petit à petit, l'oiseau fait son nid." - Literal translation: "Little by little, the bird makes its nest." - The Vibe: This is the ultimate "don’t panic" phrase. You don't need to be fluent today; you just need to add one "twig" of knowledge at a time. Every word you learn is a piece of the nest. 2. In Québec 🇨🇦 "Lâche pas la patate !" - Literal translation: "Don’t let go of the potato!" - The Vibe: This is how they say "hang in there" in French Canada. Whether you're stressed about a test or tired of conjugating verbs, just remember: don’t drop the potato. Keep your grip and stay determined! Why bother learning French? It’s easy to get lost in the grammar, but take a second to remember why you chose to learn French in the first place. Maybe it was the dream of traveling, the love of the culture, or the goal of becoming a global citizen. Learning French is important because it’s a key that unlocks doors on five different continents. When things get tough, stick to it. The "nest" you are building today is what will give you a world of opportunities tomorrow. The goal for this week: Add one "twig" to your nest, and whatever happens... lâche pas la patate ! Bonne semaine à vous !

Thank you Phillippe sometimes it’s all I need to keep me going. A little reminder how fun learning the language really is and how all those expressions are different around the world! I’m not letting go of my potato!
