Mindful moment
I was so excited to finally see the ground after looking at snow for what seems like a year. Spring may be close though it is supposed to snow tomorrow 🤪 I took a nice long walk. I kept my phone in my pocket (mostly). Listening to the birds and finding tiny treasures- like these blooms. After my Nature is Medicine meeting last week, I will be formally prescribing nature walks. I have always found it restorative and now I know the science that supports it. Just 5 minutes in nature boosts your mood and improves focus. 20 minutes can measurably lower cortisol. The list of benefits is huge. When did you last step outside with nowhere to be? Even five minutes counts.

Yesterday, I finally got out for a short run yesterday. I was in town, but it definitely felt good to be outside. Good to know that prescribing nature walks is actually a thing supported by research.
Happy Saturday!
As we move into March, I’d love for us to connect live more intentionally. Community works best when we actually see and hear each other. I added a poll below to find a time that works for most of you. Please take a moment to vote. The next group of Joyful Metabolic Reset starts this week. I would love to offer special pricing to the community. Learn more about the program here: https://joyfulmedicinemethod.com/metabolic-reset And if you’d like to share — what’s one thing you’re focusing on this month? Looking forward to connecting. — Dr. Jenn
