LOSING A PARENT IS NEVER EASY!
Very different episode today... I sit down with Lynn Washington for one of the most personal and heartfelt conversations on the show yet. We open up about grief, faith, and how to keep showing up in seasons of deep loss. I share the story of losing his father unexpectedly on Easter Sunday and how that experience reshaped his view of peace, purpose, and presence. If you’ve ever walked through loss or loved someone who has, this episode will remind you that you’re not alone and that God can meet you right where you are. Love you Dept. Fam.

New with a question for feedback
Hi friends!! New entrepreneur with a business that gets other businesses on TV to promote their product/services across the country (USA). 1. Do small businesses/entrepreneurs even care about local news or is that too 'old school'? That said, it does get a business in front of thousands (backed by data), and there's no algo to wrestle. Background, I'm an EMMY award winning reporter who spent over 2 decades in TV as a news producer, then reporter, and later an anchor. The business is based on personal experience getting businesses, events, and organizations airtime and watching increases in revenue and sold-out events. Thank you for your time and gracious feedback!

As a local service based professional I can see the value of an ad being running near / around the local news times, but I wonder with so many people using different streaming services now and not really connecting with local news in real time how that would affect it. You background is amazing and brings so much value!

@Michelle Rupp oh, I see!! To circle back and answer your question, I do think local businesses/entrepreneurs care- and look for those types of opportunities. Gives us another “touch” and a way to get in front of the communities we serve.
I’m excited I just dropped my podcast 5 mins ago
