New with a question for feedback
Hi friends!! New entrepreneur with a business that gets other businesses on TV to promote their product/services across the country (USA). 1. Do small businesses/entrepreneurs even care about local news or is that too 'old school'? That said, it does get a business in front of thousands (backed by data), and there's no algo to wrestle. Background, I'm an EMMY award winning reporter who spent over 2 decades in TV as a news producer, then reporter, and later an anchor. The business is based on personal experience getting businesses, events, and organizations airtime and watching increases in revenue and sold-out events. Thank you for your time and gracious feedback!

@Latoyia Bailey Thank you! You made an interesting statement when you mentioned running an ad. Like a commercial? Like buying ad time during a newscast? My approach is the opposite. Not buying ad time, rather creating a compelling story, loaded with viewer benefit, that the station does a story on its own. Earned media. There is certainly a place for paid media; however, that's not my speciality. I have a course where I teach others how to do this. I also work 1:1 with clients. Often, I get a yes faster because my relationships are far and wide in the TV industry.

@Latoyia Bailey thank you though for gently pointing out (and you didn't know you were doing it) to get clearer that this isn't about buying ad time on local news, as it is about getting featured on local news.
