SOTD Amouage Reflection Man
This is one of my favorite fragrances of all time. its Woody, Floral, fresh , spicy and so well blended. Projection and longevity is good, Longevity is around 7-9 hours but projection is just 1 feet but stays that way all day. Perfect for a day at the office. 10/10 one of the best.

Asad Elixir by Lattafa  05/02/2026
Been waiting a while to get my hands on this one. After all the hype And comparisons I finally picked up a bottle as a gift from my lil sis for my birthday. Said to be a cross between the OG Asad which was similar to Sauvage Elixir and boss Absolu. So When I first got my nose on it I was sadly disappinted. As it turns out the Boss comparision is not my much loved Absolu, but the now discontinued Boss Absolutley, which I never had the chance to try. Asad Elixir is an Oriental Spicy/Woody fragrance, it's a bold warm scent that starts with a lively, spicy burst, transitions into a smoky-sweet and woody heart, and settles into a rich, deep, and resinous amber base. It is an excellent fragrance for the cooler months. With top notes of Grapefruit, Pink Pepper and Saffron, it opens up with a bright, sparkling, and spicy opening with a subtle warmth and a metallic/leathery touch from the saffron. The heart introduces a sophisticated, masculine core of dry wood/Cedarwood and rich tobacco, softened by a creamy, sensual vanilla. Base notes of Frankincense, Patchouli, Cashmeran and Dry Amber blend together to create a dry down that is deep and long lasting. Frankincense and dry amber create a smoky, resinous warmth, while patchouli adds an earthy depth. For me the elixir is less of a direct Dior clone and more as its own smoky, sweet, and woody creation. Performance here is super good, easily giving 8-10+ hours on the skin.It is also a strong projector, leaving a noticeable and magnetic scent trail. Its warm, spicy, and smoky nature is perfectly suited for cold weather. It's versatile enough for both everyday use in the colder months and evening/special occasions where you want to make a statement. Its bold profile makes it an excellent choice for a date night or formal event. if you enjoy intense, warm, smoky-sweet, and woody fragrances and are looking for a "beast mode" performer. Try before you buy if you are sensitive to heavy incense or spice notes.

SOTD Ravine Ginger by French Avenue
This is FAs take on Goldfield & Banks Ingenious Ginger, and wow it delivers. The opening is not close to the original where G & B are fresh and crisp this one is more dense. But this one is better to me in the dry down since its a bit sweeter and heavier (if ginger even can be heavy). Projection and longevity is ok 4-7 hours and 1-2 feet for 1-2 hours on my skin. This will be one of my summer bangers this year. 8,7/10 Really nice one.

@Lon Chaneyfield True i bought a 10ml decant from a facebook group and waiting for the price for a full bottle to fall a bit more in price. They also have one duping Pacific Rock Moss from the same brand that is called Ravine ice.
First Impressions: Purple Melancholia
Finally found a bottle in a store so gave it 1 spray on the wrist. Opens up like a coconut leaning Gris Charnel with a clear designer level quality and mass appeal. Creamy, cosy, nicely sweet and very wearable. Projects strong for a Valentino. Quality is good and the blend is clean, but nothing here feels groundbreaking. The closest market competitor for this would be Le Beau Le Parfum and to me PM is a dumbed down vibe, similar crowd pleasing DNA, and LBLP still comes out on top in terms of character and overall profile. I would argue that this would be a massive hit in the mainstream. Its more smooth and more wearable tha LBLP and 25 and above usually avoid jpg as its a “teen fragrance“. My prediction maybe wrong but many of us weren’t impressed with paradigme but the numbers dont lie. So the hype to me was not justified. My initial score would be a 7.5/10. If i get a sample from a purchase i might give it a proper wearing.

I agree its not groundbreaking but do all scents have to be? Im a sucker for mass pleasing fragrances😄
Looking for unique summer scents
I just rearranged my bottles this weekend trying to go cold weather frags on the left, year rounds in the middle and warm weather on the right. After I did this and looked it over I realized my collection breaks down like this: Cooler weather - 40%, Year round - 40%, Warmer - 20%. My decants kind of break down the same way. This got me thinking that most summer frags never really grabbed me - they either bore me with their generic "fresh and/or citrusy" notes (like Eros Energy, AdG), or their performance on me is abysmal (Light Blue, Man Eau Fraiche) . I usually wear my year-rounders in the warm weather. Realized I'm looking for something different for summer. The ones I do have full bottles of are Vulcan Feu, L'eau D'Issey, AP Marwa, Prada L'Homme to name a few. So basically this post is looking for recommendations for summer/high heat frags that are a little "left of center" that last.

To me the absolute best summer fragrance is Loumari-Porthole.
