Dr. Paul Larson.... Wow, how many nuggets can you put into an hour?
Unfortunately, a good deal of my listening takes place when I am driving. Therefore, taking notes on the nuggets at the moment of impact.... well it's difficult, if I do not wish to impact w/ another object LOL! I sure hope that he will be willing to record more wisdom, that unpacks those nuggets. I particulary resonated w/ the hiring energetic people, as well as don't try to change a person. Some folks are moldable & others not. Efficiency & Awareness were big take-aways.
Don’t Plan to Fail
Really cool going back through this information a little over a year later from opening my practice. A brief testimony about this material if I may. Tom actually mentored me through the pre-opening process and choosing a market. I’m happy to say we’ve been profitable since month 2 in business and are now seeing $20k+ profit monthly. Wouldn’t have been possible on my own or without this knowledge, that just makes sense.

That's wonderful to hear Zach! Recently I told someone, "Plans and Advice are everywhere.... but finding GOOD & TRUE advice; now THAT"S the rarity. Common Sense Playbook has got you covered"! You good sir, are living proof. Thanks for sharing!
Zoom out
The concept of not taking yourself too seriously pays off in so many ways. What is the bigger picture? What role do you have in your bigger purpose? Sometimes I can get so focused on my own goals, or the ins and outs of the goings on in my day to day life (taking myself too seriously)--I lost sight of the bigger picture. It cost me a lot of time. It cost me even more with one my most precious commodities--my energy! This all took so much toll on me emotionally. Then I spent so much time trying to figure out what I was missing--when all I needed to do was Zoom out. Zoom out and remember my bigger purpose, and stop taking myself too seriously. Now's the time to refocus and get moving! Again :)

Love the 'Check In' Video Idea. It's nice to have a short, concise, refresher nugget to take on, because living life with purpose doesn't always allow for 'diving in the deep end'. (Because I am one of those that reads things slowly, imaging as well as marinating as I listen; thus, it takes me a bit to complete an epsiode.) Thus, having a "quick Minute' pointer helps me stay connected, filled -supplied and a more effective conduit! Common Sense Baby!!!!! Let's Go!
Know the Why
When Tom brought this up, it really resonated with me. In my practice, a key part of educating clients is helping them understand why they’re doing something. Reminding them of their “why” throughout their health journey makes a meaningful difference in both compliance and perseverance. It’s a simple yet powerful concept—one that I also apply in my own life and strive to instill in our kids.

Samantha… great point! That even came up in a conversation today with visiting relatives…. They didn’t know how to consolidate the idea into a simple point… they were dancing around the edges. It was a great moment to share and care. You are absolutely right.. remembering to apply it to all areas of our life.
