Perplexity AI Browser Comet Issue
I downloaded the app to my computer yesterday and it caused issues with links and pdf attachments in my email (Outlook). When I tried to open either, a message came up asking which application to use from a list to open it. When I made the selection the message came up again, so I couldn’t open the documents or internet links. When I went to uninstall it, I got a message to close the application. It was not open and did not show in task manager. After I rebooted my computer I was able to uninstall it. I would like to use it, any suggestions on how to fix this issue? Most of the applications I use are online, but I use Outlook desktop app, because it is better than the Office 365 version in my opinion.

@Mark Wickersham Thank you I will try that. By the way, when you download the Comet browser Perplexity gives you a pro account for free.
Any Clickup users here?
How are you using AI in Clickup? From what I understand you can now access multiple AI platforms without separate subscriptions. The AI seems to have improved significantly and I’d like to use it more for project management and scheduling.

@Sonia Zamarripa They just added an upgrade where you can link your Google or Outlook calendar and schedule out your week. It’s really helpful, but they don’t provide very good instructions on how to use the new functionalities so I had to spend quite a bit of time trying to figure it out. What I really like about it is that you can forward emails to it or directly into projects. I get so many emails that I need to deal with and I can easily create projects or tasks out of them so they don’t fall through the cracks. Now if I could just get the AI to create the tasks automatically from the emails I send it - that would be fantastic.
AI Agents in QBO - Is it working for you?
QBO now has AI agents built in. As usual they beta test on their customers and it’s not ready for primetime yet. It is optional to be on the new platform now, but all will be forced on the new platform in September. From what I’ve seen, I believe it will cost more time than the current platform with no AI. I haven’t had a chance to train on it yet, but the constant suggestion pop-ups, the cluttered screen (do we need 2 menus on the left in addition to an icon menu at the top)? I keep trying the upload a bill AI feature hoping at least that will work and it doesn’t. The reports screen is shrunk down due to all the screen clutter. I’m actually looking at moving to Intacct as the price of QBO is pretty ridiculous at this point even with my Proadvisor discount. Anyone having success with the QBO AI Agents?

I used to love it - now - do I hate it - no. But the changes they are making are totally ridiculous. Yesterday, I went to bill one of my clients. I normally value bill, but when I get a one off project that I don’t know how long it will take, I bill by the hour. Keep my time in QBO. Not sure when it changed, but normally when you create an invoice for a client you have time on, it pulls up in the right pane of the screen so that you can add it to the invoice. Well that wasn’t happening so I went to the help to find out what changed, of course the instructions had the old info. Called Proadvisor help line - person told me it was a problem with the app I use to keep time. I told her no - time is in QBO - I need to apply it to the invoice. Puts me on hold to check with her supervisor. While waiting I go on the internet and find an article telling me to go to the Manage tab, then Suggested Transactions, then check Show Suggestions and wa-law you go through 3 new steps for what was an automatic function. When the QBO help agent got back on the line, she told me her supervisor said it was a problem with my time keeping app. I explained to her that I found the solution online. So I got that handled and sent my client an invoice. More problems - the invoice cutoff the calculation column. I had to switch to the new format from my custom format. So do I hate QBO - not yet but I’m getting there. And for anyone thinking that AI is going to take over our jobs, just know that's what we all thought when QuickBooks came out. But garbage in/garbage out - it was an absolute bonanza for our industry. Modern day example of how an AI bookkeeping firm will work - Bench that has filed for bankruptcy. Don’t be afraid of AI - use it to save time, but don’t use it as a crutch as it can reduce the quality of your services. PS - the AI invoice function in QBO hasn’t worked for months so I’m not holding my breath on QBO’s AI getting up to speed quickly. They don’t have the engineering bench of OpenAI.

@Clive Hand I am interested in how you get a ChatGPT Agent into QBO.
Anyone using AI agents to answer your phones?
I called my AC repair company the other day and it was obvious to me that I was speaking to an AI agent. It was actually pretty good. I use Highlevel for crm and marketing and they have an add on AI agent that can answer phones. Curious if anyone in the community is using AI agents to answer their phones and if you can share your experience and the platform you are using I would appreciate it.
🎥 Did You See the Livestream on Personal Use Cases?
I recently ran a livestream where I shared lots of personal, non-business ways to use ChatGPT. 👉 If you missed it, you can catch up now on my YouTube channel: [link] I’d love to hear from you; two things: 1. What was your favourite personal use case from the livestream? 2. What’s your own favourite personal use case for ChatGPT? (Something outside of work—anything you’ve found really helpful or fun) Drop your answers in the comments... I’m really curious to see what stood out for you, and what creative ways you’re already using ChatGPT in your personal life.

My personal favorite use of ChatGPT is also for travel planning. I am planning a camping/ boutique hotel trip from Niagra Falls to Vermont. Granted I created a very long prompt using deep research. The guide it created for me in less than 10 minutes is absolutely amazing. It even suggested scenic routes that I didn’t even ask it for. Can’t even imagine how much time it would have taken me to create something similar.
