Curiosity Hooks ● Everyone thinks meds/therapy are vital for fixing mental health. Here is what actually worked…(Me in the gym and training hard) a. How bodybuilding fixed my mental health ● I thought being depressed meant I was broken until I found out how to use my mental illness as a gift. a. How I can shut out the world to focus on training. ● How I have fun at every event without drugs/alcohol a. I focus on what I need, not other people. I don’t care what anyone thinks about me. I cooked my own steak at a wedding lol. Knife Edge Hooks ● I almost never met my future wife until I stopped being so anxious a. Bodybuilding gave me confidence ● I almost quit sport, instead, I found bodybuilding. a. I hated toxic team sports and wanted a positive environment, I found that in the gym. ● I almost died, but instead, I chose to face my demons. a. Quitting drugs gave me a seizure, and the opportunity to grow. Refusal Hooks ● I refused to be anxious and depressed. I chose sleep. a. How partying ruined my mental health. ● I said no to being depressed and yes to setting goals a. How choosing long term goals stopped me focusing on temporary feelings. ● Never again “overthinking” From now on, Action a. How I used spontaneity to stop feeling stuck and worried.
