Pass along some kindness 💛
Question....?
Quick clarification on the 15-point Real Usage score: how will “unique users” be measured and verified? Will judges have access to Nimiq Pay usage figures, or should builders provide their own privacy-safe analytics/evidence? Also, what counts as a user - opening the Mini App, completing its core action, connecting a wallet, or making a transaction? The submission form doesn’t seem to request a user total or analytics link, so where and when should this evidence be supplied? Thanks!

Thanks for the speedy reply!
Cold-user testing humbled me 😂 — so I rebuilt parts of it
A little update on Pay It Sideways 💛 I posted recently looking for people who hadn’t seen the Mini App before to test it, because I’d reached that lovely builder stage where everything was obviously intuitive… to the person who built it. 😂 The feedback was actually brilliant. People understood that something was being sent, but some of the first impressions were that it looked more like a payment/crypto product than something about human connection, “Private message of kindness” was too vague. One person initially thought the messages might be random, almost like digital fortune cookies 😂. The purpose and emotional side weren’t obvious quickly enough, simply seeing “cryptocurrency” created an immediate scam/trust barrier for someone who wasn’t familiar with crypto. Which made me realise I’d accidentally made the technology louder than the reason I built it. So I’ve changed it. Pay It Sideways is now much clearer about the actual idea: Someone writes something genuine to brighten another person’s day and sends it privately to them. They can optionally attach a little NIM as a gift — but the words are the point, the money is optional. The recipient doesn’t need a crypto wallet just to receive and read their message. I’ve now rewritten the confusing copy, brought the human/kindness element much further forward, reduced the emphasis on crypto/payment mechanics, made the person-to-person nature of the messages clearer, worked on the trust problem for people unfamiliar with crypto, added a short explainer video so people can understand the concept visually too And pushed the updated version live. https://pay-it-sideways.grand-sugar.workers.dev/first-kindness The biggest lesson for me was probably: Users don't experience your intention. They experience what you actually put on the screen. 😬😂 I knew I’d built a little human connection experiment with optional crypto. Some first-time users saw a crypto/payment thing with kindness attached.
Can I submit two apps?
I plan on submitting two apps for cycle 2. Can I submit both apps on one GitHub account, or I have to create another?

i thought it was one app per person/team per cycle?
Heads-up: a reproducible Nimiq Pay bug (iOS) — a mini-app gets stuck over the wallet
Hit this a few times while testing and finally pinned the repro 👇 Yeah. Open a mini-app, switch away from Nimiq Pay without closing it (don't tap ✕), then open another mini-app link — the mini-app and the wallet UI end up stacked on top of each other, the ✕ stops working, and you have to force-quit Nimiq Pay to get out. Looks like it's at the framework level, not any one app. iPhone 13 Pro · iOS 26.6.1 · Nimiq Pay 2.19.1. Filed it for the team here: https://github.com/nimiq/developer-center/issues/209 — anyone else seeing this? Curious whether it's iOS-only.

@Hendrik Bondzio Thanks for flagging and documenting this, Hendrik. I don’t have an iOS device available, so unfortunately I can’t reproduce it directly. I can confirm Pay It Sideways has been tested across Android devices without this resume issue. Since you’ve seen the same behaviour in multiple mini-apps, the Nimiq Pay issue is definitely the right place to track it. Happy to provide any app-side details that help isolate it.
