🚀 NimConnect Desktop is live!
NimConnect is a shared identity layer for the Nimiq Mini Apps ecosystem. You can now: • Claim a permanent @handle • Create a public profile • Create a public payment page • Reuse one identity across Mini Apps Desktop is for managing your identity. Everyday payments stay inside Nimiq Pay. Desktop portal https://nimconnect.nimiqminiapps.com Lookup profiles https://nimconnect.nimiqminiapps.com/#/lookup Manage your identity https://nimconnect.nimiqminiapps.com/#/me If you're building a Mini App, you don't have to rebuild identity yourself. The NimConnect client lets you: • Resolve @handles • Open public profiles • Deep-link payment pages npm install @nimconnect/profile-client https://www.npmjs.com/package/@nimconnect/profile-client You can use the public API for zero-setup integration, or resolve handles directly from the blockchain via RPC if you prefer. App page: https://nimiqminiapps.com/apps/nimconnect I'd love feedback—especially from Mini App developers interested in integrating the shared identity layer into their own apps. 🚀

Steal My 21-Day Mini App Plan
21 days until the deadline to submit. My goal is to build Punto and get 25 unique users playing it. Half the days are building. Half are getting users. Swap in your app. The dates still work. Would you suggest changing anything?👇 Jul 10: Feed the framework docs to Claude. Ask what it handles and what I build myself. Jul 11: One page of rules. Scoring, win condition, what a "duel" actually is. Jul 12: Test the HTML version with 5 friends. Fix it before I build it. Jul 13: Post the plan here before anything exists. Ask who wants to duel me. Jul 14: Solve escrow. There isn't any. Figure out what makes the loser pay, or cut the money. Jul 15: Build the core loop and the scoring. Bring it broken to Sip & Ship. Jul 16: Deploy. A real link I can text. Start posting the build on X and Instagram, daily from here. Jul 17: User Testing: Watch three people play. Say nothing. Write down where they stall. Jul 18: Become an X/Twitter reply-guy. Aim for 10 replies per day showing it to people. Jul 19: Build the challenge link. Fewest steps possible from text to playing. Jul 20: Build the result screen. The part worth screenshotting. Jul 21: Link previews in iMessage, WhatsApp, Telegram. A bad preview kills the share. Jul 22: Demo the working duel at Sip & Ship. Everyone in the room gets a link. Jul 23: Wire the stake in. Run three duels with real NIM. Fix what breaks. Jul 24: Personal accounts. Post the game with an incentive. First 10 to beat me get NIM. Jul 25: Find 10 word game communities. Read the rules of each. Post the game, never the stake. Jul 26: Cold DM 25 people by name (or as many as I can). Jul 27: Open challenge here. Reply to every single person individually. Jul 28: Post in 5 more communities. Ask 3 friends to share it with their group chats. Jul 29: Duel a member live on Sip & Ship. Challenge the room on air. Jul 30: Post on my own personal social media channels. Jul 31: Submit by noon. Post the real numbers, including the bad ones. What do you think? Roast my plan. 👇
Steal My 21-Day Mini App Plan
I'm building a Mini App even though I can't win $$.
I'm building a Mini App too. I can't win a cent. Starting today I'm building in public, right here, alongside you. I'm calling it PUNTO. I'm taking my favourite word game and adding the one thing it's missing. You challenge one person. Friend, sibling, whoever. Same word, same day, head to head. Winner takes the NIM. You send them a link like "I challenge you". iMessage, WhatsApp, wherever they already are. They open it via Nimiq Pay, they play, it's done. Two hard parts I haven't solved yet: The sharing mechanism has to work on every messaging app. (iMessage, WhatsApp, Messenger, etc.) There's no escrow. Nothing holds the pot while you play. So when someone loses, what actually makes them pay? I don't have an answer today. I'll have one by Jul 31 or I'll post about why I don't. It might evolve. Probably will. As one of the competition organizers I obviously can't win anything here. I'm at zero today. No code, no design, no players. Same as some of you. Eighteen days. Would anyone else actually play this? Say so below, and tell me what you're building. One word, one sentence, one emojii is enough. 👇

Thanks @Akinola Adejoke thats a good idea re: escrow solution. And also thanks for the positivity but I mean that I can't win because I am part of the Nimiq Team bringing the Mini Apps Competition to the world! ;)
verilock.online is live!
The moment that stuck with me: someone asking “is this the same file?” and nobody being 100% sure. You email a rental agreement back and forth. Everyone signs. Months later, someone asks again: is this the real version? Did anyone change it after we signed? You’re digging through inboxes, comparing file names, and hoping everyone has the same copy. Most e-sign tools want your document uploaded to their servers... fine for some things, but not when it’s an NDA, or anything you’d rather keep on your own device. I wanted something simpler and more honest: your PDF never leaves your computer, but everyone can still prove what was agreed to, and prove it later, without trusting me or any third party. Nimiq works well for this, because I needed a timestamped, tamper-evident notary anyone can check independently. Nimiq’s mini app framework and wallet integration let me ship a real workflow inside Nimiq Pay: connect, sign, and seal without the usual web3 friction. Your wallet is your identity; the chain is the proof. No 3rd-party to go through to access the network. That’s VeriLock. Fingerprint your PDF locally, get wallet-backed signatures from everyone involved, then seal the hash on-chain when you’re ready. Anyone with a copy can verify it later. no account, no upload, no “trust us.” Just your Nimiq wallet. Give it a spin at verilock.online (https://verilock.online/). If you hit a bug, tell me. I’m a solo dev and I want to fix things fast. And if you actually seal an agreement with it, I’d love to hear about it. Success stories help more than you’d think. Cheers, Sam

Great idea! @Sam H
Introducing Piggy
Gm guys, I’m Tony and I’m building Piggy and need your input validating the idea. Piggy is a savings Mini App inside Nimiq Pay. Users deposit USDT into a personal vault, optionally earn yield via Aave on Polygon, borrow against their savings as collateral, set up recurring deposits, create goal-based savings targets, and join social savings challenges with streaks and leaderboards. The problem it solves: Users want simple ways to save stablecoins, earn yield, access liquidity without selling assets, hit specific goals, and stay consistent — without leaving their wallet or navigating complex DeFi. Piggy delivers normie-friendly practical savings tools (yield + borrowing) combined with goal tracking and light social gamification in one clean app. Users get real utility and motivation without extra apps or friction. How it uses Nimiq Pay: Built as a native Mini App using the Nimiq Wallet SDK. It runs directly inside Nimiq Pay with seamless USDT deposits, withdrawals, and transactions on Polygon. Leverages Nimiq Pay’s gas abstraction and wallet integration for a smooth, self-custodial experience. Happy to hear your thoughts and questions . Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Good idea. Will be interested how you incentivize users to save. Maybe like a daily auto-deposit or something. Cool idea though! @Tony Wtf As always. Whats the plan to get users?! 😅

Love the social challenges aspect especially. I personally DCA Bitcoin, the S&P500 and the Nasdaq every day. I know those assets won't be possible, but some sort of auto-DCA feature would be really cool and highly marketable i think. Then based on your core features you could use a tool like usefastlane.ai to auto-create TikToks and try to build and grow a TikTok page around investing and financial literacy driving traffic to your Mini App. That's the play I'd run!
