💡 I have an idea to help grow your YouTube channels
I want to run it by you all, and would love your honest thoughts. As you may or may not know, NewTubers is a public community, which means posts here are indexed by Google and increasingly by AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, etc. Here is an example of a post getting indexed for search (if you know how SEO works already, you can skip ahead): Whenever someone creates a post in this community, there certain words that will emerge as “key words.” These are the words in the text that say “Hey! THIS is what the post is about!” So that post becomes a piece of searchable content on the open web. Google sees it. AI tools see it. Then someone searches Google or uses an AI tool, and maybe some words in their search query match some of the keywords in the post. That, along with some other factors like “is the post useful/helpful/accurate/popular/etc,” all contribute to the possibility that the search tool recommends the post as one of the search results. So, what’s the big idea here?? 👀 What if members could use this community as a place to post write-ups of their YouTube videos? A short summary, some key takeaways, a link back to the video — written in a way that's helpful AND searchable. It wouldn't replace your YouTube SEO work, but it could give each video an extra shot at being found on Google and in AI-generated answers. Someone searching for the topic you cover in your video COULD land on the post before they even land on the video itself, but then could follow the link straight to the video. Personally when I search things, I am usually not immediately thinking about looking for a video on the topic, but when I come across one in the process I will sometimes choose to watch it rather than keep reading. From another angle, search engines look for connections between seemingly “unrelated” pages in order to improve search results. Connections are established when there’s a link on one page that takes you to the other page. These are called “back links.”

That is a great idea - especially with a bit of help and guidance from you 😁
POLL: YouTube SEO
More of a “leave a comment” poll: How would you rate your knowledge of YouTube SEO (search engine optimization)? Choose one: 1. I’m an SEO rockstar 2. I know WHAT to do, but don’t always do it 3. I have heard of it but not sure how it helps me 4. What even is SEO? How important do you think SEO and ranking your videos in search is to the success of your videos? Do you want to learn more about SEO for YouTube? Would you be interested in a way to help improve your YouTube video SEO?

Thank you, that was great!
YouTube Launch OS Beta - Feedback wanted!
I have been working on a project called the YouTube Launch OS (still very much in Beta), and I would love your feedback on it! It's a web based app that does a few different things all in one place: - Guidance for setting up your YouTube channel - A place to save your video ideas - Manage your video production workflow - SEO cheat sheets and checklists - 90-Day Roadmap for launching your YouTube channel I made a quick video demoing what it does and how it might help new YouTubers get started with their channel in the first 90 days and beyond. I'm curious for your feedback! Is this something you would use? Is there anything you would add? Or do you have another system that does these things for you? Let me know! Link to the video demo >>> Click Here Link to the YouTube Launch OS >>> Click Here **IMPORTANT** Currently, YouTube Launch OS *ONLY* saves the information that you enter in YOUR BROWSER ON THE DEVICE YOU ARE USING IT ON. If you clear your browser data, you may lose the data. I do not have it set up to store the information anywhere else for recovery, or for use across multiple devices. Please do not rely solely on this app to hold all the info pertaining to your YouTube videos! If you have an important video project, store the information in another place as well since we are still TESTING the YouTube Launch OS. This will be addressed in the future if feedback shows people are interested in this functionality. Thank you for understanding! 🙂
