I love this small versatile piece. Slow stitched from upcycled scarf fabric.

Years ago my mother made butterflies out of magazine pages and I always loved to see how they turned out and just was amazed at how the butterfly would look when I knew that a wing was really a tomato lol. Due to my health, I keep trying to find a craft that I can have at a flea market that I run - something that isn't too intensive, something that doesn't take a lot of time, and something fun. I bring to you Readaflies - Butterflies that are giving reading material a second life. I put a little spin on what my mother did all those years ago and am using book pages as well as magazines. I'm a huge reader and love that I can mesh my two hobbies (crafting and reading) together to make these. Don't worry no books were treated inhumanely. We are using damaged books or books we find at thrift stores .. those that are destined for the landfills for these.

I have two stories that are complete and can be enjoyed as an audio feature while you work. And I have a third book, which is longer, that I've uploaded the first half - Given to the Prince. The last half will be coming soon.
