Hats
As in the many hats we all wear. Awake at 4:40 AM my day in a blazer began with a busy rotary meeting planning a series of events including an Eagle Scout project for a young man who is promoting the bench I designed. At noon I met for the 24th year in a row where we raise about 55k each year for Boy Scouts. Frank ( the guy in the orange fuzzy hat) and I are opposing team captains. At 94 he pushes us to do our annual Friends of Scouting campaign. While I put up a big game face, I am not in his league. He owns multiple shopping centers, a sprawling ranch that is more than twice as big as Manhattan Island, the Bank I used to work for And Oh- his dad bankrolled his brother in law’s first little five and dime operation that has er um-grown to say the least. You probably have heard of that guy by the name of Sam Walton. Following that mod day event- I met with my biggest client and then ran an evening rotary meeting followed by meeting with a friend/owner of a business I’ve been trying to help them stay solvent. I am bushed. Just got home after 14 straight running hours. Very sharp! Tasteful!

So I came upon this coat and trousers ensemble today and was especially intrigued by the weight of the trousers. They are somewhat high waisted and heavy, and will need to be altered. Surprisingly, the three-roll-two jacket fit perfectly. The label inside the jacket says Mister Guy, which advertises itself as a fine men’s clothing store in St. Louis. I really don’t know how to describe the wool cloth or the pattern, but I cannot wait until next fall to put together an English/country outfit in the spirit of @Brian McGuire. Oh, and forgive the polo shirt…I was trying to hurry and get photos. Coat and trousers like new…$18.00. So, as I study the pics, I probably needed to stand up straighter. It would make the shoulders fit better and shorten the sleeves. It was a long day! 🥴

Great find!
Anniversary night
My wife and I celebrated our eighteenth anniversary Sunday night. She said she thinks I look better and dress way better, now, than when we got married. That spoke a lot to me. It’s because of groups like this, RMRS, Gentlemen’s Gazette, among others, that really helped me improve and I am thankful.

I am from Rochester, NY, living in the St. Louis area and wish to learn better about proper men's behavior and dress and buck the trends we see today.
