Greatest of evenings Everyone.. Semi familiar with the process, and don't have a particular "challenge" as of yet. Never bid on any bcuz I was still employed by the Federal govt up until recently. In my former position I've sat on a few boards to score companies for my former Division. I'm "from" Chicago.. born and raised until I joined the Navy. Currently living between Northern Virginia and San Antonio after retiring from Civil Service with the DoD. Restarting a non-profit for transitional housing for at risk and homeless Veterans. Also own a consulting firm initially designed to conduct policy and compliance assessments to include risk mitigation; internal control reviews and CAP development; E2E Business Process Mapping and gap analysis; and OMB A-123 inspections. Now, I primarily consult and show Federal employees how to apply and navigate the federal disability retirement process through the OPM. My current goals around GovCon is to leverage the knowledge, experience, networks and partnerships I've gained over the last 35 yrs working for the government. My objective is to explore opportunities with the governments ability to purchase and outsource "housing" programs as it relates to Veterans and vulnerable populations. Leverage partnerships to build viable JV opportunities so we can all come up and expand. Nice to be here, and looking forward to the journey.
