I've been using Perplexity AI instead of Google for quick research, and it's been pretty helpful. It gives you AI-generated answers but shows you the sources with clickable links, so you can verify where the information came from. It's like if ChatGPT and Google had a baby. The free version has unlimited searches. You get 5 "Pro" searches per day that use more advanced AI if you need deeper answers. Hope this helps!

Hi everyone, my name is Kenneth Chiba! I'm from California. Not working a HVAC company currently, but looking forward to learning more! Currently my specialty lies in tech, and some of the new AI/software tools. Goal is to tie these two together (HVAC and AI) and see if I can make some money in the process. Always happy to connect!

@Chris Grubbs I'd be happy to, as long as someone gets value
The Right Marketing Works
A lot of people think marketing is just posting content or running ads, but marketing actually plays a much bigger role in your business than that. Marketing helps you attract the right people, communicate your value, and turn attention into revenue. Without it, even the best product or service can struggle to grow. What’s important to understand is that there isn’t just one type of marketing. There are many forms, content marketing, paid ads, email marketing, social media, SEO, partnerships, branding, and more. m Each one plays a different role and works best for different types of businesses. This is where many businesses go wrong: they jump into marketing without knowing which type actually fits their business model, audience, or stage of growth. What works for one business may not work for another, and that’s completely normal. The key is alignment. When your marketing strategy matches your business goals, things start to click. If you have questions about marketing, or you want to share what’s worked (or hasn’t worked) for your business, drop a comment below, happy to discuss

I think we're going to also see a surge of a new type of SEO, one where we optimize around ChatGPT, Google, Perplexity, and Gemini searches.
I found $305,940 in lost revenue for a single HVAC shop
We didn't run more ads or raise prices. We were looking at call logs from 6 PM to 6 AM. Missed calls. Missed voicemails. Missed emergencies. We estimated $24,000 in lost jobs. The owner thought hiring an after-hours dispatcher was an "unnecessary expense." He was focused on a $2,000/mo salary that he said he couldn't afford. And he's not alone BTW. The average home service business loses $27,000/mo to missed calls. He hired 1 remote dispatcher. Then 3 more. 24/7 coverage across every channel. The result? +$220,000 added to his bottom line. Please make sure you don't miss the obvious opportunities this year.

@Chris Grubbs have you found if AI is able to supplement this? I imagine we can get this cheaper than $8k per month in payroll with AI

@Chris Grubbs agreed - hate the latency of voice AI. would love to chat more on this, I'm very curious what this function of business is called.
