Let's start a list of books you have read that you would recommend that the rest of us add to our own reading lists. Maybe ones you have a physical copy of and maybe on Audible. (One book per post please) Green Lights by Matthew McConaughey

Be less impressed and more involved
I am an avid podcast and audio book listener, and tend to lean myself torards podcasts that get in depth with their guests. I stay away from the political podcasts (both sides) and have two or three that I listen to religiously. Be less impressed and more involved. I heard this on the Diary of CEO podcast done by Stephen Bartlett in his recent interview with Matthew McConaughey (podcast can be found here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QMzxNfX-uAg) and MM brought up this concept in the itnerview, and it had me thinking how it is relating to my current style journey. Most of us have probably fallen into this trap of idolizing/being impressed by someone or something. What dawned on me is that we are all on our own journey in style and we are actively involving ourselves in our own style evolution. Imagine what each of our lives would be taking this idea into our everday lives?

Fall + Transition + Rain = Barbour
On a rainy upper 70s and humid day it is a bit too swampy to go tweeds in Tulsa Oklahoma in spite of the season. Enter the Barbour jacket. I frequently replace a sport coat with a Barbour and occasionally wear it as an overcoat. I think if I had to pick any single garment that has given me the greatest VALUE using Antonio’s Style system it would have to be my Barbour(s). From casual with jeans to sporty dress down-even while wearing my kiltšŸ˜‰ this jacket gets used-a lot . (Even more than my navy blazer). A big fan of the whole English country look- I can think of nothing (including my tweeds) that achieves that so frequently by giving me so many wearings. https://www.barbour.com/us/our-history.html OOTD. • Barbour jacket • CT blue Oxford (basket weave) • RL wool tartan fringe end Tie (wife EBAY gift) • Steel blue trousers • Brighton fly fishing belt (because I wanted tošŸ˜) • Pendleton Rocky Mountain Nat Park Socks • Alden Indiana Jones Boots • more wrist time with my new nato band on Wenger

@Brian McGuire Love the jacket and tie
There is no finish line.
As we all are progressing through this style journey from dad style (me) to smart casual to refined gentleman, we all need to remember that the journey does not end. There is no finish line. This is a marathon towards becoming the man we were all meant to be and to express ourselves through our style. Be proud of ever step you have taken and look forward with patient anticipation for those steps you will be taking. We are all winners in this journey.
A Word about Socks…
Gents, I see many of you sporting colorful or patterned socks. What is the prevailing thoughts here. For some reason, I have always shied away from colorful or patterned socks, preferring solids that match my pants. Maybe it’s an age thing…. Would love some feedback.

Socks should match one of three things: Shoes, belt or shirt
