AI x ADHD
Hey I am Katie, I am a neuroscientist and interested how neurodiverse people, especially people with ADHD use AI to optimize their daily lives. This isn’t my research topic, but given my professional and personal background it’s something I’m really interested in. Some questions I’m curious about - Do you use AI to structure your day? If yes, how? - Which ADHD challenges do you use AI for most? - Does AI help you more with planning, starting, or finishing tasks? - Can AI reduce overwhelm or decision fatigue — or perhaps even trigger it? - Do you use AI more like a tool, a coach, or a thinking partner? If there are any ADHD people in this room, I’d love to hear your thoughts and experiences.

@Dylan MacMillan thats interesting. what do you think could reduce the barrier between learning and application? I feel that AI is not very helpful in this case since it normally raises 3 questions for answering one. It’s like a hydra 😅. But today I read something here in the community about a “ghost” mode, which reduces depth and variety of the answer. I think this could be worth a try! AI as a thinking partner is also something I use it for a lot, but I think you have to stay very critical about the answers all the time and not trust it too much, which is somehow tricky, or what do you think?

@AI Advantage Team I like using AI as a personal assistant, thinking partner for sorting my thoughts, sometimes also as a coach, but I haven’t been successful using it in business. The more I work with it, the more I recognize texts that were written with AI. I wasn’t succesful in training it to really sound like me until now. For content generation it just gives me the same generic output I can read everywhere else. I am already so tired by seeing all the high quantity low quality AI outputs everywhere. But this seems a lot easier than low quantity high quality output.
