Little girl lost woman still hoping to be found
Section 2 of the Awakening Assessment just showed me something wild: I've worn so many masks (people pleaser, caretaker, rebel, perfectionist) that when asked who I'd be without them, I genuinely had no answer. Turns out the kid who climbed trees and made up stories is still in there. She just got buried.

Me too. 😔
Day 1 Identity
Day 1 I have a bookshelf of books on ADHD, Neurodivergent brains, and changing your life. None of those books gave me this message from Day 1. "FOR REAL CHANGE TO HAPPEN YOU HAVE TO START AT THE IDENTITY LEVEL" I'm not sure how to do that but I am eager to learn.

@Sharon Markell Fien Yes, that has been my journey too - I connected it back to my authentic self as designed by God. So empowering!
The Visualization 🌟 I am organized
Meeting My Future Self on Day 3 : Today during the visualization, something clicked. 💡 I closed my eyes, and there she was. Future me. Calm. Clear-headed. Organized. Not "trying to be organized." Not "working on being organized." Just... organized. Like it was already true. And here's what I felt in my body when I saw her: relief. 🌬️ For so long my brain has been a tab-explosion. 🌪️ A thousand half-finished things, a hundred good ideas, a head full of "wait, what was I doing?" If you're like me and you spend your days helping other people find clarity, you know how strange it is when YOUR own inner space feels like a cluttered desk. But the woman I saw in that visualization? She moves through her day like she has a map. 🗺️ She's not reactive. She's not scattered. She's organized. And she likes it. So this is my new mantra. The one I'm taking with me into the rest of this challenge: 👇 "I am organized." ✨ Not as a wish. Not as a goal. As a statement of who I already am, choosing to act like her until the world (and my brain) catches up. 🧠 Drop your own mantra below 👇 What did your future self whisper to you today? 💛

I absolutely love this description of what future you looks like and your new mantra! Mine is I am present and capable. 💖
I think I need to look at my scripts
Just started the ADHD Awakening Assessment and realized the script I keep getting cast in - the one who "ruins" things by not playing along - started when I was 12 and said no. Same pattern, different decade. Turns out the systems that "should work" were never built for a brain like mine.

@Elle Cooper @Teri Connolly I am so sad to hear what the both of you had to endure. Children are not equipped to say "NO" to an adult who is in charge or more powerful than they are. They definitely stole your childhood, and I can only imagine the anger you must feel. 😪 Praying for your ability as an adult to be able to reprocess those emotions in healthy ways, and to feel empowered as an adult to set boundaries with confidence.

😪that is so wrong on so many levels! Very narcissistic indeed . . .
Transcript of Day 2 - The Invisible Mask
I created a transcript to share with the group because the Zoom transcription was very poor due to Jim's accent. I put this through ChatGPT so that I could have an accurate copy. I hope everyone finds it useful.

I think this got buried in the feed; I hope some people find this useful.

I am glad you found it helpful! I too missed some things, but the Zoom transcript was almost unintelligible at times!

I discovered I had adult ADHD about 10 years ago; I am finally starting to understand how my brain works!
