💚 S.E.L.F. C.A.R.E. (Protect your energy. Keep showing up.)
If you're someone who gives a lot—to your family, your work, your community, or a cause close to your heart—you've probably discovered that passion alone isn't enough. 😱 At some point, you need to protect your own energy too. Inside Plant Positive, I share one of my favourite coaching frameworks: 🌱 S.E.L.F. C.A.R.E. 1️⃣ Self-Talk: Notice the language you use with yourself. Make it supportive. 2️⃣ Elicit Your Values: Let your purpose guide your daily decisions. 3️⃣ Lock in the Big Rocks: Prioritise what keeps you healthy and happy. 4️⃣ Filter Your People: Spend more time with people who fill your cup and protect your peace from those who don't. 5️⃣ Create a Not-To-Do List: Boundaries matter. 6️⃣ A 24hr Digital Detox: Even half a day can help reset your brain. 7️⃣ Realistic Expectations: Especially with family. This one's probably had the biggest impact on my own life. (and it's still the toughest 🥲) 8️⃣ Easy 5-Minute Fixes: Small actions. Big wins. This is a little of what we explore inside Plant Positive alongside healthy plant-based eating, habit building, accountability and a genuinely kind-hearted community. What if getting healthy WAS actually boring 🫣
No detox teas. No fat burners. No magic powders. Just simple meals that fill you up, taste amazing, and help you feel better over time. 👉🏽Turns out health isn't complicated. We've just been sold complicated. The biggest lie I ever believed? That healthy food wouldn't satisfy me. 🚫 Then I discovered potatoes, beans, lentils, homemade soups, giant burrito bowls, thick smoothies, pasta, and plant-based comfort food. Now I eat more food than ever and feel better doing it. Not to mention, I lost 60lbs stuffing my face with real— whole foods! 🥑🫑🫘🍄🍞🌯🍲 This is the kind of stuff we share inside Rooted & Wild.
