The 8th day in Seoul
Hi, this is Ray. These days I’m busy on make slides for teaching Korean kids in libraries. It’s a little bit challenging but finally I’ve done. A good news is that I’ve been applied to be a facilitator for global village, which is an activity for AIESEC exchange partners coming to Korea to show their own culture. A bad news is that I haven’t prepare anything🤡 I am like I’m going to turn their as an elegant but cheap gallery, I think… Also, I’ve been shopping a lot, so I spent lots of money… Korean knows the core of capitalism, I promise! And I got a deep talk and traveled with my fellow partners together yesterday! They’re so nice! Okay, here are some photos!

I have to say, today's weather has been just like the stock market up and down. Although the market finally rebounded a bit today, most people are still hesitant to jump back in because it still feels quite volatile. Then this evening, right when I was about to go swimming, it suddenly started raining. Now I'm stuck wondering whether I should even go anymore.

Today is the first day of the typhoon's impact. Normally, we'd have a typhoon day off, but since it's already Saturday, it feels like a bit of a rip-off!🤣 I could have gone out otherwise, but now I'm just stuck at home on a day I'd be off anyway. I wonder what everyone else is doing today? Does anyone have any good anime recommendations lately?

Does anyone love cafe hopping?
I love dessert so much!🙋 If I have a free time on my day off,I love cafe hopping after I finished my workout. It depends on what kinds of dessert I want to taste it. Forget the calories!

DW News
There's no real easy way available to consumers to make sure their produce is safe at this moment."(現階段消費者沒有任何簡單的方法能確保蔬果安全。) It's berry season and that's a hard one to turn away from."(現在是莓果產季,這個很難說不。) 接下來的調查報告會揭曉 "where the weak links in the chain are"(供應鏈的弱點在哪),那才是這場疫情真正留下的東西。 ▸ 語境還原:官方聲明的原句 "they cannot rule out other food items",意思是生菜嫌疑最大,但其他食物還不能劃掉。 The doctor ruled out anything serious." ┈┈┈┈┈┈ 💡 steer away from (phrasal verb) ▸ 意思:刻意避開。 ▸ 語境還原:流行病學家親口說 "I'm choosing to steer away from bagged lettuce and bagged salads right now",注意她用 choosing to,這是評估後的選擇,不是害怕。 I'd steer away from that topic at dinner."
