I worked 28 days straight last month and I am not going to pretend that was the win. It was my best unit month ever. 41 closed. It was also the month my phone number died and I kept dialing from it anyway. Here is what that actually looked like. The call rate fell off a cliff. Nothing told me why. So I dialed my own cell from my work number to see what a prospect sees. Spam Likely. 67 people answered out of 1,278 dials all month. One in nineteen. I had no other number at the time, so I kept picking it up. The dials themselves were dead average. 45.6 a day against a published median of 46. So the phone was not the thing. 1,289 messages I typed myself in August. 1,105 emails, one person at a time, real research behind each one. 439 texts off my phone. 62 a day, every day, 28 days straight, against a benchmark of 15 to 17. 34 live calls the whole month, and 41 closed. Do the math on where the rest came from. Mason has been saying since the day I started working with him that we did not get into this for the grind. I have heard him say it on calls I was sitting on. And I ran a month that was pure grind, and it worked, and that is exactly why it is worth looking at hard. Because the part that produced was the manual outreach. Not the calendar. Not talent. Not the phone. Which means the real question is not whether to do it. It is whether I can build something around it before it takes another 28 day month out of me. I do not have that answer yet. The number is fixed now, I cycle them. The other part is still open. 👇 If you have had a month that worked and cost too much, put the number below and what it took out of you. I read every one of these. Ian Ryan Kirk
