The Mystery Yokealong is back!
Our Mystery KAL is officially back for year three! We’re knitting a top-down round yoke sweater (or a steeked cardigan) together over seven weekly clues, kicking off on January 16th. This year, we’re leaning into stash-busting, so feel free to start hunting through your yarn collection now. You can get all the details on the Ravelry pattern page or here on Skool in the dedicated Classroom where I’ll also be posting all the relevant video tutorials as clues become available. We’d love for you to jump in and share your yarn picks, questions, and progress photos. Just use the "MYAL 2026" category for your posts. Heads up: we aren’t doing spoiler alerts this time, so feel free to post away in whatever way you like just as long as it is in that category! I can’t wait to see what you all come up with this year.

Here is my first run at it for the cardigan - I have good contrast between A&C; question is if a varigated for B will work? And if my framing blue works.. ? Ooooh lala so many choices. So glad that it is out of stash.. Thank you!!!

@Zanete Hussain Yes! Thank you for the affirmation! That will be good to be able to check out the framing in Clue 3. So looking forward to seeing your design in everyone's creation!
Clue 7 - the final clue - is waiting for you!
I’m a little sad to say I’ve just uploaded the final clue for this mystery yokealong. If you’ve been keeping up, you’ll know it’s the last piece of the puzzle—yep, the sleeves! I can’t wait to see all the creative takes on the sleeves, just like we saw with the neckband. I hope you enjoy these final instructions as much as I’ve loved putting this year’s mystery together. This has turned out to be so much more than I ever imagined. Thank you all so much!

OH! the denial I go through as reality kicks in knowing I need to frog back..after 4" into the stockinette of the first sleeve. Did I really forget to change needles? - maybe it will block out? let me try it on, let me try it on again... what is that little pucker bend? does it really look so bad? does it really not match the colorwork gauge?... lol.... rippit rippit rippit and then wrangle those little stitches back onto a smaller needle .. and off to a new beginning with a much better (and satisfying) knit. I can see I will be on the sleeves for awhile 😁 I am ready to start admiring everyone's finished exquisite sweaters as they start to filter in here! This has been an amazing mystery KAL - the best ever! It makes me look forward to Zanete's next one (not to mention what she has coming down the pipeline in ones that are not a mystery) ! Such an amazing experience with her design and this platform with all of Team Zanete peeps! Thank you.

ā—IMPORTANT: Be sure to post your work-in-progress photos as comments in this thread only, so they don’t pop up in the feed on their own. . Now that we’re finished with the colourwork and the CC is freed, so we can add that neckband and finally ease everyone’s worries about that wide neckline. I’ve got a few reasons why I like to add it at this point, and I go over the main one in the tutorial for this clue. . If you’re sharing on other social platforms, don’t forget to add a spoiler alert! You can use your yarn or grab one of the pre-made images here: https://go.zaneteknits.com/myal2-covers. . @Vandy Napier I agree! It is a great confidence boost! Thanks to all Zanete did with her teaching/videos along with the pattern. I believe that is one of the reasons I love KAL's because the new techniques that are often taught (lol, and hopefully learned by me :-) I only choose a designer whose patterns I adore.. Yours is beautiful with the earth tones.
