Sunday Funday. Dog Owners use this prompt
Dog Owners use this prompt. If you are a cat owner, you can change it to cat. change it to the dog breed you have. Have a ball. And post your pics in the chat. A happy, relaxed Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler) wearing a festive Fourth of July outfit, including a patriotic red, white, and blue bandana and a small Uncle Sam hat, lounging comfortably on a plush dog bed inside a cozy, beautifully decorated home. The room is warm and inviting with tasteful Fourth of July decorations, American flags, patriotic throw pillows, soft blankets, and subtle red, white, and blue accents. Sunlight streams through the windows, and soft music creating a peaceful atmosphere. The dog has a loose body, soft eyes, open-mouth smile, and relaxed ears, clearly feeling safe and content. No signs of stress or fear. The home feels calm despite fireworks happening outside in the distance, emphasizing that the dog is comfortable indoors. Ultra-realistic photography, highly detailed fur, warm natural lighting, cozy Americana style, professional pet photography, shallow depth of field, 8K resolution. This version subtly reinforces an important message for dog owners: the safest place for many dogs during fireworks is indoors, where they feel secure and relaxed.

Borrowed Calm
I'm sharing something a bit personal today following a frightening family emergency earlier this week. It really put things into perspective and reminded me that the most meaningful displays of leadership don't happen in the office. Instead, they happen in the moments we spend beside a hospital bed. Our 18-month-old grandson, Ryder, became suddenly ill. What began as vomiting quickly became something much more serious. He was diagnosed with intussusception, a condition where part of the intestine folds into itself and creates a dangerous obstruction. Seeing him listless, feverish, and in pain is an image I won't soon forget. As any parent would be, my daughter Jen was frightened. Her husband Angelo, stayed in close communication with Ryder's medical team while I found myself in a different role. Every crisis asks something different of each person. Some provide answers. Some make decisions. Some deliver care. Others simply become an anchor. That became my role. Not because I wasn't afraid, but because my I wanted my daughter to borrow my strength until she could find her own again, someone who needed to hold steady while everything around us felt uncertain. Those two days reminded me that composure is contagious. So is panic. The emotional tone we bring into difficult moments often becomes the environment others breathe. Thankfully, Ryder is home now, smiling again, and getting stronger every day. We are deeply grateful for the extraordinary medical team who cared for him. This week, my grandson reminded me that strength isn't always loud. Sometimes it looks like borrowed calm until hope has room to return.
