One year at Christmas when I was a kid, my parents surprised me with a new flute. It was my first open hole flute. It was an Artley 9-0. It was a real sacrifice for my parents to buy it for me. They had been talking to my band director secretly. He advised them that I needed a better flute. The first tune I played for my parents on my new flute was O Holy Night. I was so thankful and overjoyed to receive such a gift!

I am an amateur flutist. I play in two community bands, with my church worship team, and take private lessons. I play occasionally in a flute choir.
