Something occurred to me in relation to our theme this month...
Our theme this month is receiving and pleasure. But as I've intentionally put myself into the energy of receiving, I noticed something... I was focused on what's coming. What I want to receive. What I don't yet have. But receiving also means fully appreciating what's already here. And we often get so lost in waiting for the next thing that we forget to appreciate what we already have. Gratitude is about noticing the small things - The support you've been given. The progress you've made. The small moments of joy you might have rushed past. The more we practice noticing, the more open we become to receiving what's next. 💛 Join me Tuesday at 5:00 PM ET for our Monthly Gratitude Session. We'll spend some time reflecting on everything this month has offered and creating space for whatever comes next. What's one thing you've received this month that you're genuinely grateful for?

This might sound a little silly, but I'm genuinely grateful for the paychecks I've received this month. I'm grateful I even have a job (or two) because I know a lot of people don't. I'm able to live in a nice apartment, afford groceries, and pay our utility bills so we have running water, A/C, electricity, etc. We really do have to notice the little things!
Creating more content and want to hear your ideas🦋🗣️
Hey friends! As you may know, I’m a massage therapist and lover of all things movement. From functional mobility to yoga to dance, all great somatic practices 🌞 I’m in process of creating more content and want to include some videos for our great crew here. I’ve got some ideas, but would love to hear anyone’s suggestions or what particular type of videos you’d like to have on tap? Some examples I’ve got in mind… - Simple yoga for calming nervous system - Tech neck: 3 steps to prevent the hunch - Free dance: move your body for joy and fun - Why and how to use a foam roller Let me know if any of these (or something else) resonates and we’ll rock it out. 💃

Honestly, any of these suggestions would be great. I have a foam roller and love it, especially for my back!

@Rachel Bach looking forward to seeing it!
Sleep Meditation👍
Shout out to Izabelas July sleep meditation! I've been having issues with sleep for a while now and I tried the meditation last night. It helped my mind calm and slow down. I didn't fall asleep right away, but did shave off a couple hours😆 That's a win! Highly recommend this one and am looking forward to keeping this one in the nightly routine and moving through the others.

I’m going to have to try it! I’ve been having such a hard time falling asleep lately 😔
New find!
Just learning of this guys music and had to share this one. Noah Rinker - dare you to listen without crying😭 Beautiful message and relates to what we're doing here - growing, forgiving, and remembering we are WORTHY exactly as we are. https://open.spotify.com/track/7h7dOssdchfLK9GQ2NQBOT?si=8b0a389e8b604cec Came across this quote the other day and it's a goodie. "Forgive yourself for not knowing earlier what only time could teach you." Whew! Let's all give ourselves some grace. 💛

@Rachel Bach I love that!
Support where you're at 💛
Quiet support circle yesterday, so here's a gentle check-in: What's something you're carrying right now that most people around you probably can't see? No fixing or advice, just noticing. We're all walking around carrying invisible worlds. Sometimes simply acknowledging what's true for us is an act of nervous system care. I actually wrote about this idea in my latest article on judgment, assumptions, and the stories we tell ourselves about people. If the topic resonates, you can check it out here on Substack. 💛

Something that I'm carrying right now that most people around me probably can't see is all of the effort it takes (mentally, emotionally, physically) to function while dealing with hypersomnia. A lot of the time, people just see someone who's tired (usually I'm quite good at hiding it), but not someone whose body is asking to lay down and sleep. The second thing is all of the mental calculations I make every day about how I'm feeling, medical appointments, medications, finances, and simply just getting through the day.
