Feeling stuck and frustrated...
I've been trying to sell an online piano course for about 2 years now. All the time, I've been using Facebook ads for cold traffic as I don't have much of a warm audience on YouTube or Instagram. I tend to attract an older audience of around 60+. I've made sales along the way, with my best month being around $1400 just over a year ago and this was running Lead ads to a free webinar. But this was never sustainable as Facebook would only ever send me 'hot' leads and lead quality would always drop quickly within a few days. I also noticed that in recent months people just weren't watching much of the webinar, so I decided to switch my approach, build trust with people and ultimately try a monthly subscription model... ..which is why I've switched to Skool. I launched BuzzPiano Academy about 2 months ago, and I launched it as a free community. I've got 175 members now, and I used Sales >> Complete Registrations to get sign ups. This has worked well in terms of the cost per sign up, but I've attracted people who don't engage, don't respond to DMs and don't really check out my free content in the Classroom. I only have 1 person who comments and posts regularly!😄 I have a 3 day piano challenge which people sign up for, and this offer is clear in my Facebook ads, but hardly anyone does it when they join. - So I've now made the switch to running ads for Purchases and charging $7 for my 3 day challenge and accessing the community, but this isn't off to a good start and no one is buying it...but it's only been a week or so. I've also tried launching my full course on a Premium tier to my existing members with an early access discount for $29 a month but no one has signed up. - So what should I do? - ⭐ First the good news... I think I'm done with free. I mean using Leads or Complete Registrations objective for free webinars or my free community. For my audience, I just get people who don't take any action. My course is good. I've got some great testimonials, which feature on my website and on the About page of my Skool community.
