Recording anxiety
Is it normal to have performance anxiety when simply trying to record myself playing or practicing? I often think I am playing certain pieces well then as soon as I hit "record" it all falls apart. Anyone have ideas or advice to make it easier to record?

I even get metronome paralysis. I do know the metronome is not judging me….

What set of strings are you playing now?
I don't want to start a string debate 😅, just know what set of strings is on your guitar right now! I'm actually playing, since yesterday, a set of Augustine Imperial Medium Red.

What guitar support are you currently using?
I don't want to start a debate about guitar supports 😅, just want to know which one you're using at the moment... Footrest, Ergo-Play, Guitarlift, Sagework... Right now I'm using LeSupport by Thomas Viloteau!

I am a finicky non-professional. I have tried many supports but not the guitar lift. I play both classical (barely) and steel string (well, to be honest, barely as well) in a classic posture because of shoulder issues (in addition to its other benefits). Currently I am using the Guitto, bought pretty inexpensively from that great South American river. It hold well with well made suction cups (I hate suction cups usually) is very adjustable, versatile and stable. My next favorite is the Woodside and I still have one on a spare Flamenco. The Sageworks is great, but I disliked the added weight of the magnets and that the magnets limited some adjustment.
