Recording anxiety
Is it normal to have performance anxiety when simply trying to record myself playing or practicing? I often think I am playing certain pieces well then as soon as I hit "record" it all falls apart. Anyone have ideas or advice to make it easier to record?
Introduction
Hi all, guitarist here playing for fun with no real end goal. Currently working through Sorโ€™s Mozart Variations. Any advice on performance anxiety, arthritis and tendon problems welcome.

i look forward to hearing tendon and finger pain solutions. I do not have pain while playing and practicing. My discomfort arrives at various times during the day in my fretting hand while at rest.

@Aaron Steele It amazes me how different it feels after changing strings.
One or more classical instruments
What is the best route to becoming the best player I can. Is it to play one guitar most of the time to really get to know it or rotate several different ones to just enjoy their different quirks? Any thoughts please?

I have a luthier made guitar which I play at home. I keep a Yamaha in my work office for lunch breaks or any free time I have. I feel like it makes me more well rounded. Also when home I use a footstool and when I travel or at my office i use a guitar lift which also creates slight differences in my playing.
(Literal) warm up
It's getting cool again, but not nearly cool enough to turn on the heat (indoors, the house is down to 19c, having rarely been below 24c since May). Despite warming up musically, I find my hands ache slightly after only 90 min of playing today. That hasn't been an issue all summer. What do you all do to literally warm up your hands? I've run mine under warm water in the past, but then I need to wait for my fingertips to dry completely. I don't want to wear gloves all day. Sit on them? Tuck them into my armpits? Put them under my shirt for 5 min? All suggestions appreciated.

I have an issue with raynauds so I really need to warm-up well no matter what time of the year it is. I look forward to hearing other ideas.
