This is from the last call with @Mason Yu - some amazing insights. KEY IMPORTANT POINTS: 1. AI's Impact on Marketing Scale: - What used to be 4 blog posts per month can now be 20+ posts with AI - Small teams can now compete with large agencies in terms of output - AI allows for 10x output while maintaining marketing fundamentals 2. Evolution of SEO: - Focus is shifting from keywords to entities - Google still maintains market share (177% YOY growth in SEO industry) - AI search hasn't significantly impacted Google's dominance 3. Technical Insights: - Entity salience (emotional coverage and frequency) is becoming more important than traditional keywords - Content neutrality is crucial for comparison content - Integration of AI with tools like Google Sheets has been transformative for programmatic SEO ACTIONABLE TO-DOS: 1. Start with Chat GPT basics and gradually advance to more complex tools 2. Record and maintain a spreadsheet of effective prompts 3. Focus on building industry-leading resources rather than chasing AI ranking shortcuts 4. Train AI using your existing content to maintain brand voice 5. Maintain neutrality in comparison content 6. Integrate AI tools with existing workflows (like Google Sheets) QUOTABLE CONTENT: 1. "AI in marketing is not a replacement - you still need creative people behind the scenes in control of those AIs." 2. "If you know how to use AI tools, you can bridge your creativity - you can combine that with the speed and precision of AI and machine learning, and that's where the magic happens." 3. would love a tool that would plan out your content strategy based on the current site's status and ranking, what needs updating and plan for new long-tail content. (would be even better if AI wrote and posted the content to the site, but I can only dream) lol
