Hi everyone, I'm Erwan I’ve recently completed my commercial diver training in France (Class 2A) and I’m now looking for offshore opportunities. I have a military background as a former combat diver, and I’m fully motivated to start working offshore and gain experience. I’m currently OPITO BOSIET certified and available for work. I also have a general question for those working internationally: French diving certifications are no longer IMCA recognized, even though the training still follows the required standards and diving times. Do you think this is a major issue for working offshore internationally? Are there companies still open to hiring divers with a French certification? Any advice or feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance and feel free to contact me if needed.

Hey how's it going. I'm a class 2 commercial diver working inshore in South Africa. I completed my course last year September at Seadogs here in South Africa. I've worked as an inshore diver for 3 months now although could only start diving recently as I was waiting for my ticket. The company I work for mainly specialise in the shipping industry doing in water surveys but also do civils from time to time. I've only done two dives so far. Hopefully doing my third tomorrow!
