During the 28 Reset dining out, or catching up with family and friends at a venue or their house, was a huge challenge for me. I wanted to make the right choices but also didn’t want to be awkward or feel like “that guy”. If we went out, I would eat before hand to ensure I didn’t slip. Saying no to alcohol and water only. During the second and third challenge, it became more comfortable. I found a balance, I talked with venues or chefs about my diet and started to become more and more comfortable asking for menu changes, and never had negative feedback from them. This was asking for no oil, dressing, or changes to sides. I started eating out with family and friends, and feeling great. A piece of lemon with soda water or still water was a nice thing too. I carry this through to the way I am living life after the challenge. This was on the weekend, a beautiful piece of swordfish and salad. The other dinner and breakfast were last week when travelling. Over 100 days of no alcohol, spent the time kicking the soccer ball with my kids rather than sitting at table drinking. This is my choice, and certainly far from perfect, but loving the life choices!
