Wednesday Welcome!
One of my favourite dishes is 親子丼、oyakodon. It is a chicken and egg rice bowl. The name means parent and child referring to those ingredients! 😅🐔🐣 I love the way the flavoursome ingredients, (including onions, green onion, soy, mirin) mix so well with the rice! Also, Japanese rice is always so fluffy and tasty!

Introduce yourself and share a pic of something Japanese you own or something Japanese that you're interested in! Feel free to explain why you want to learn Japanese or what you like about Japan. Also, feel free to post any Japanese language questions you have. I'd be glad to answer them! As for me, I love learning Judo. Have you ever tried it? And I love Japanese literature, such as Kokoro by Natsume Soseki. Have you read any Japanese novels? I also really enjoyed Cowboy Bebop when it came out! Not the live action Netflix version! To start learning, I highly recommend Your 50 First Sentences Course: https://www.skool.com/japanese/classroom/fe1c2853?md=60ee3552d26e4ffcb910a86675e10f95 Arigatou, Joe Sensei.

(Weekly Diary)
✏️ Goal: Write a short diary entry in Japanese 🗒️ Topic: A good day ✅ Beginner Kyō, kōkō de Nihongo o oshiemashita. Today, I taught Japanese at high school. Kotoshi no atarashii seito ni takusan aimashita. I met many new students. Seito wa totemo nesshin deshita. The students were very enthusiastic. Nihongo o manabu tanoshisa o, minna to wakachiaitai desu. I want to share the fun of learning Japanese with everyone. Sometimes high school students can be rude. Demo, kyō wa totemo yoi hi deshita. But today was a very good day. 🫵 Your Turn Write 3–5 sentences about your day. You can start with: 今日、___をしました。 ___は___でした。 Short and simple is perfect 😊 Post your diary below — I’ll give feedback.

@Daniel Hagan You had a lot of meetings. You're preparing for a training?
What's Happening in Japan!? The rising numbers of foreign workers.
Japan has an ageing population and faces a crisis of demographics which could impact its economy. There are not enough working aged people to meet the demands of Japan's domestic economy. Therefore, the rate of foreign workers has increased and is at the highest rate ever. Do you think that could adversely affect Japan's culture? Do you think it is necessary for Japan to survive? Have a look at the video and learn some phrases and feel free to let us know what you think, respectfully!! Joe Sensei.
