3 Must-Know Phrases For Visiting Japanese Restaurants
Have you heard these phrases? Did you know what they mean? Every morning, when I was working in Japan, I would stop in Komeda Coffee for breakfast. For 500 yen, I got toast with jam, a boiled egg and coffee. Great value. 🍞🥚☕️ Every time I entered, the staff said the same three phrases. いらっしゃいませ。 何名様ですか。 禁煙席でよろしいですか。 Know these three and how to respond and you can confidently enter any restaurant in Japan. 🍱🍙🍛🍜🍢🍣🍤🍡 Arigatou, Joe Sensei.
